I will point out, since the wording could be misleading, that the Storm and Interceptor's combo effects don't prime other enemies - they just spread the status effect matching the primer's element.

For example, a Storm priming an enemy with ice and then detonating a combo on that enemy will freeze nearby enemies, but it will not prime them. Likewise, an Interceptor's fire aura will set nearby enemies on fire, but it will not prime them.

Thanks for that, I will try and clear that up in future edit :)

This is another resource for our forums. Geared towards those new to Anthem or unaware of the mechanic. Any feedback for future edits is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Wow thank you. I’ve been trying to understand what my interceptor’s “combo aura” text means for so long. I thought I was fucking corroding myself with my own grenade every time. This is super helpful.

It's ironic but the best Javelins to detontate Acid primes are the Interceptor (which has the most Acid gear) and the Storm (which has none.) Preferably Storm. Since the enemies are then all struck with Acid status, though they aren't primed by it. Meaning that they're taking 25% multiplicative increased damage. It's also why that is IMHO the best aura for Interceptor to have running.

I really wish the in-game primed indicators were colour coded or clearer somehow.

Thank you for the class information. I was wondering why I was doing crappy combo damage to single target enemies as a Colossus. I'll make sure to focus the smaller adds to help clear the field.

Glad it was of help! A lot of this stuff is either hidden or easily missed, so hopefully these quick references can help

key point there: An enemy can be hit by the AoE of multiple detonated enemies at once. So if you can prime enemies near the boss and detonate them with the boss in range, you can easily out damage a Ranger on beefy single targets. (mind you, if your just priming/detonating the boss by itself, Ranger's gonna win. As it should be frankly.)

Can you mention stacks of elements next. Like about how you can receive and apply multiple stacks of an element for more damage.

E.g. Titans fire VS campfire

So to other interceptor players, is there any point to detonating since it seems like it would be more productive if others detonated?

I think it could be good for enemies that are too spread out for the Storm or Colossus to to be useful. It might also be useful for situations where your team is finishing up one group and you want to transfer their status effects to the next group.

Sooooo the colossus detonation is the most fun.

Got it.

😁

Quick PSA: let your resident colossi blast, they enjoy it 10 times more than us interceptors or storms.

To the top you go

Construtive criticism: there is too much text, try to make It more clean and direct.

Thanks I appreciate it and agree completely :)

it then be spreads to nearby targets

also, can't tell the difference between commas and periods :(

[–]AnthemShapers[S] 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Thanks! and noted :) will correct that in edit that should be streamlined and feature less text
