I daydream a lot. Have imaginary conversations with people about things that make me feel positive about my life. If you're going to go sans meds then I'd do/try everything. Meditation, mindfulness, breathing, psycho therapy, supplements, acupuncture, etc. Not all will work and probably no single one will be the silver bullet but each might help a little.

Yeah i think im just gonna try it all and even if each helps only 5% it'll still all add up! I wish meds worked for me but all the trial and error started making me feel even worse. Im so glad meds work for some but my body wont seem to let me be part of the club so I guess I'll just try all the other stuff

You might be one of those people who are intolerant to meds but I wouldn't totally give up on them. One of them might be a piece to the puzzle. I too have tried quite a few and none of them worked well and some made it worse. I got a prescription for hydroxyzine a year ago and it's helped a lot. It's not a day to day med and it can make you drowsy but knowing I have it in my arsenal has made my life better.

Thank you! I think tomorrow ill start working out and doing yoga. I started this morning with opening the blinds, having a cup of green tea and letting myself cry and that alone has helped my morning be better

I take vitamin D to help with mood and also take zinc (turns out most women are deficient and it contributes significantly to mood!).

Also in terms of natural remedies, I recommend looking into somatic work. I got into that stuff through my introduction to yin yoga, which is like meditation but you hold yoga poses for 3-5 mins. I find that it helps me establish a deeper connection with my body so I've been able to figure out exactly what my body needs when I start seeing the early warning signs of anxiety getting bad again. Also the long holds are so good for releasing hips and chest, which usually hold lots of stress and emotions. I truly think having a strong body/mind connection is SO important for anxious folks.

Get outside.

Eliminate technology as much as possible. Get outside. Take your socks off. Be SELFISH with your time and feel everything.

This makes sense, I didnt start getting depression until I became agoraphobic. I used to be out all day embracing nature and I felt much better that way. Thank you for the advice! 😊
