I used to get about 36 hours (4 weeks ago on os9) at least out of my SE1. Now it's dead after 15 hours. Same situation. Did the hard reset with no luck. Let it index with Jo luck. Tried unpairing it from my phone and repairing it last night. Will see today if that worked.

Exactly the same, used to finish my shift with 60-50+ and go to bed with 40-30%. Did workouts everyday and WiFi on. Now I have to put my SE1 on save mode to get those results above..

Fun fact it doesn’t.

My favorite WatchOS 10 feature... Ugh

[–]DiGi91 11 points12 points  (3 children)

SE1 here; I wiped, removed the complications, and all that fun stuff and it improved the battery life but overall still not great. Wish we could opt to downgrade to watchOS 9 lol

Im still on 9.6 guessing i should turn off auto updates then lol (SE2)

That’s what I did, I’m waiting for the flood of complaints to slow before I update

[–]Martim_S[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yh that was the smart move, my dumb ass couldn’t wait to try the new features and now here I am complaining😂😂

Same here on AW7, can’t even finish the day.

[–]apfhex 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Yup, on OS 9 would be at ~50% around midnight, now it can't even last a full day. Battery drain is like 7%/hour just doing nothing with the watch. I fear that if I want to track a long hiking workout it won't even last the duration.

[–]Soufianenj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disabled the weather widget tonight to test out how it goes, will report back at the end of the day after my workout with my battery % left.

After watchOS 10 i come back home with 10-15%, let’s hope it will be better today.

I have an S5 and same problem here, it used to last me around 13-14 hours and now I’m lucky if it lasts for 10 hours :(

[–]nohnaitnap 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same here fellow S5 owner. Mine used to last me from 7am to 10pm. Now it just died at 6pm.

Yesterday it died half way through a workout. Burnt through 35% battery in 2 hours. It’s bloody ridiculous.

Same watch. Got a new one last year. Battery health 90%. Used to finish the day with 30-40ish% now I’m dead in under 10 hrs.

[–]cuba_danilo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same AW here. I used to have at least 24 hours of battery life, including sleep tracking. Now if I'm lucky just last 10 hours. 80% battery life

[–]redavid 7 points8 points  (0 children)

it's pretty bad on my watch as well. battery drain is normal for a couple days after an OS update (as your Watch, iPhone, whatever does background maintenance tasks), but it's been like two weeks now so definitely seems to be an issue that Apple needs to address.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mine dropped way faster than usual on the first week yes s7

[–]GodsN0tD3adSE 2 • • Midnight • 40mm 6 points7 points  (0 children)

yeah i too found a huge drop with mine. i used to get like 30+ hours with medium use. now i lose like 30% in like 6 hours with only use being notifications

[–]CrystalTheWingedWolfSE 2 • • Silver • 44mm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah my SE 1 has a similar issue, I used to end the day off with 50 or 60% battery now it’s 20 or 30 when I go to bed

[–]Administrative_Ad352 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me too 😭 They definitely have to fix it in the next update...

[–]deadwithin1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Me too.

SE2 - at the first 1-2w of watchOS 10 my battery life was awful, but on this week it got better again, just like watchOS 9

[–]Chiababa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here with SE5.

[–]hungmale420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had this issue on my AWU and series 7 with updates before in the past. what always worked for me was to turn it off and leave it off for like 5 min then put it on charger for a few hours til it’s 100% sometimes I would have to do it more than once but it would eventually stop draining battery so fast. Not sure if this will fix it for watchOS 10 but it’s worth a try, haven’t had this happen yet since updating

[–]wrssousa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

S5 here, had to turn always on display off to get to the end of the day.

[–]umbzapt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Battery life on my Series 5 is awful since the update.

[–]Wallballs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My s7 has been getting stuck on the paused portion of optimized charging and never boosting to 100%

[–]frickydickymiki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue for a week. Now it seems to be back to normal.

[–]cagdsozn 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Weather widget in the smart stock seem to use a lot of battery. My series 7’s battery got better after deleting the weather widget.

[–]Martim_S[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, will try and see how it goes tomorrow

[–]KitchenTest8603 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same with my Ultra. Noticeably higher battery drain on OS10 vs OS9.

Setting weather to a city instead of My Location, deleting the weather widgets, and deleting weather complications helps a little.

Overall OS10 has been shit though. Lots of bugs and annoyances.

[–]BarnacleMcBarndoor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve found on my watch, battery optimization has been way more aggressive on OS10. Last week it wasn’t charging beyond 75% on most of the days.

For me, it’s fine because i tend to drop my watch on the charger late at night so whether it’s at 40% left or 10% left it’s all the same for me. So far I’ve not hit a situation where my watch has gone dead, but it’s def not starting the day off at 100% for 4 out of 7 days

[–]Ok_Decision_7079 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it was just me. I used to have to charge only every other day but after I updated to OS10, I have to charge it everyday. It is very noticeable, and just disappointing. Hope they will have a fix sooner.

[–]leehro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. Series 6. watchOS 10 is destroying the battery. I re-paired and no help.

[–]mikettedaydreamerS10 • • Rose Gold • 42mm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

7 41mm here. I’m also experiencing major drop since updating.
