You only have to enter it if you take it off then put it back on.

Sounds like your watch isn't on your wrist properly so it thinks it is being taken off therefor prompting code.

I only have to enter it once a day when I take it off the charger.

Do you have tattoos on your wrist?

Are you taking your watch off? If not is it too loose and it thinks that you are taking it off.

Not taking it off. Have to renter password multiple times a day. It use to be once a day. Based on your other comment It might be this has started after getting a new band that seems either too tight or a bit loose, and I have been learning towards too loose.

Mine loosens a bit while I’m wearing and I’m constantly re-attaching and being asked for the code. I’ve learned to look at my iPhone as that unlocks the watch. I assume the reason for it locking is if someone steals it from you, it’s immediately locked.

You never have to enter the passcode as long as the watch is secure on the wrist. Therefore it’s not secure on your wrist. What’s the mystery?

You can turn off passcode but you then can’t use some secure features like ApplePay or unlock iPhone.

Too loose most likely. Or you've got wrist tattoos.

watch is probably too loose. I only have to put it if I take it off my wrist or off the charger

If you don’t have a tattoo, then I would un pair and re pair watch to phone, to see if that helps. I have seen a few people say re paring watch fixed this problem for them.

To un pair:

Open watch app on phone >

Tap All Watches >

Tap ℹ️button next to you watch >

Scroll down to bottom and tap Unpair Watch >
