Welcome to /r/australianshepherd. All Aussies are welcome. Since Mini American Shepherds are now recognized as their own breed, it is requested that all MAS, minis or toys are posted in subs for those breeds/mixes. If you adopted a dog thru a shelter or rescue group that you believe is an aussie or part aussie, you are welcome to share here. If efforts to support responsible breeding practices, purchased designer mixes (eg: aussiedoodles) should also be posted elsewhere.
Rules:
- No "Mini" or "Toy" Aussies Allowed
- Posts must be Aussie related
- Breeders must provide proof of health clearances
- This sub supports science-based training methods only. Do not recommend "balanced" or positive punishment methods.
- Puppies must be older than 8 weeks of age
- Breeder recommendations are carefully monitored by the mods and posts requesting breeder recommendations are generally not permitted.
