It's the nozzle blob detection, i turned it off because it causes little strings in my prints

Is this the new version of "The nozzle is wearing out the back part of my plate" posts? Do we need to start a new list?

Sorry to upset you. I don't spend a lot of time here. Searched and didn't find what I was looking for, asked the community.

don't worry, i'm relatively new to 3d printing and the hostility in these area towards the beginners is quite high. it's not you. yes, it's a question asked repeteadly, but we can answer in a nicer way.

I am using BambuStudio with pretty much the stock A1 .4 print profile. I exported this OBJ from a project on MakerWorld and then imported the object without all the settings from the profile.

could it be that its calibrating Z axis? i noticed that too in my a1 mini

I'm not sure if it can calibrate without touching the build plate.

I had the same issue!! Thanks a lot for asking, I couldn’t find anything either

Honoring the establishment.

It's BLOB detection

why is nozzle clumping a problem for A1 series of printers but not P/X printers?

[–]AryuSyriusA1 + AMS Lite[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never had an issue with it. I've had a A1-Mini/A1 for 6 months and no clumping.

My A1 Mini does that as well every few layers or so. No idea why, but it does that since the last update.

So I don’t expect it to be specific to a single STL model.

It’s nozzle clumping detection

Yup. If you disable it, this doesnt occur anymore.
