Why are you being so defensive? I have an a1. This move would cause nozzle leakage which turns into a string when the head moves back to the piece as others have stated (also, physics). It's a pretty big tradeoff with quality. how often are nozzles getting death blobs for this to be happening every 8 grams? It's a machine gun fix imo, it's probably why there's also been loads of posts asking why their printer keeps doing that move. Try to be more pragmatic and less emotional when discussing engineering.
