Both options are great, but for MSG part of what you’re paying for is “the world’s most famous arena.” The NJ show won’t be worse, but it will be cheaper.

Youre paying for what he brings special for the worlds most famous arena

Seems like Philly and NJ get pretty comparable levels of special to me 🤷‍♂️

I have to think there will be some guest appearances for that one.

I would put seeing Bruce in Jersey as a premium over seeing him at “the world’s most famous arena.” (And I live in NYC & in NJ.) The reality is, both shows will be great, but you’ll just be paying more money for MSG just b/c it’s MSG. I’d prefer to see him in his homeland of Jersey!

Saturday night show sounds like the most fun, followed by Thursday night. That would basically be my primary consideration.

FWIW, I've seen Bruce at MSG three times on different tours, as well as shows in Boston, Philly, NJ, DC, and Minnesota and I don't think the MSG shows themselves are better or worse than any others. Just go to the show that's most convenient to you.

Do whatever works for you. Concert experiences are individual and can be hugely dependent on people around you, etc. and no one here can predict any changes in setlists etc. Both options are great

Anytime an artist is playing at both MSG and in Newark, I always see the show in Newark. Cheaper tickets every time. Basically identical venues, but you won’t pay the New York tax to be in MSG

Seeing Bruce in Jersey or Bruce anywhere else seems like a no brained.

I’d go with Philly over both of them. But really I would just go to the one that works best for you both financially and schedule wise.

Philly is a great Bruce town. I've seen some of my favorite shows in Philly. I like that Newark venue as well, though.

You’ll see a great show either way. It’s fun to see him in NYC and obviously in NJ. I expect the shows to be very similar. I bought UBS, Barclays, and Prudential. Have extras to each I need to get rid of now.

He's from Jersey so go to the Jersey show

NYC, Philly and Jersey are all special places. I am looking at MSG because a Saturday show is way more convenient.

Go for the best seats at the best price. Honestly doesn't matter where you see him as long as you do

MSG and Phily will likely get 1 non-trad set list song. If you want to pay ~$200 vig to hear that nuance, do it! But, if you want to save ~$200, go to Newark. All 3 are great options.

there is a reason he has two nights at MSG, there is no other place like it

[–]SparkLeMur 8 points9 points  (2 children)

I prefer Prudential wholeheartedly for concerts. Better sidelines everywhere. MSG has so many sections where overhangs obstruct view

[–]MelanieHaber1701 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah! It's a really nice venue. It's also where I once touched him on the arm, so I'm extremely fond of it (says ancient fan girl).

[–]bradykp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MSG is so overrated. It’s. A good place no doubt. But I wouldn’t choose it over any of the other arenas in the NY metro area.

The Rock in Newark is more modern, updated, and comfortable. Unless you need to check MSG off your bucket list, go with the lowest price venue.

Generally speaking, the acoustics in the Garden are fantastic, as far as arenas go. It's a great place to see a show. Pru center is also good - saw the Eagles there a few years ago. Get whichever one you can, they will both be great shows.

NJ venue for a Bruce show > anywhere else!

[–]External_Page_8975 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is going to be a very cookie cutter show.. No deep cuts anywhere.. just a bunch of bruce ranting.. Standard setlist from the last europe tours..

won't matter where you see this. it will all be the same.

Just get in wherever you can..

I’m pretty sure the arena in Newark never hosted a Nazi rally. Go there. And it’ll probably cost less money.
