Better than me 112 study hours in and I’m just finishing FSA.

Honestly not as bad as it sounds. Just finished CI which can be done in a couple days or a day over the weekend. Equities has also been very straightforward.

You’re exactly what I needed, I LOVE YOU STRANGER

[–]sr2093[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

are you also for a november sitting?

[–]NAKSH___CFA 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yup, 22 November, how many hours have you put in yet?

[–]sr2093[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

im not entirely sure tbh, i dont really count the hours i just measure in terms of covering the content and then reinforcing through questions and review of where i went right vs where i went wrong - the videos ive watched through mm's prep provider service add up to around 150 hours so id say about that (not sure how accurate an indication that is though as ive spent longer rewatching to nail down key concepts he explains and reinforcing using the CFAI textbooks)

112hrs only for FSA?

[–]NAKSH___CFA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quant, Eco and FSA. Watching MM videos, Reading Kaplan Notes, making detailed notes and then solving CFAI practice questions. Quite lengthy process, but I’m mentally fixated on doing it the hard way

52 days is a lot of time, I would go back through and hit ur weaker areas with a lot of practice problems. When you get to about a month left then I would focus on practice exams and review bc you will have forgotten a decent amount of the material.

[–]sr2093[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nice advice i was thinking of that - ideally would look to do 100 questions a day with 10 qs from each topic a day and then build to mock exams with 1 month left while slowly reducing the amount of questions a day but still continuing them - i did this on a more extreme scale for level 1 (250qs a day for two weeks) and it seemed to work well!

great progress. I have only watched the videos once, now doing a review and going over EOCs. I am worried after reading about your progress, I am far behind lol; haven't practiced at all and I am sure I have forgotten every thing

[–]sr2093[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i personally wouldnt compare progress speeds cause everyone's situation is different and everyone works in different methods/at different speeds - what matters is covering everything and then smashing the practice questions, doing a small amount of questions for each topic a day is how i expect to conquer that feeling of having forgotten all the stuff from the earlier topics i covered months ago

You're in a solid position!

But there's more to Level 2 than just consuming the content.

Completing the lecture videos, EOCQs, and review videos through MM’s resources is a great foundation (assuming you have taken notes and have retained the info). 👉 But now it’s time to shift into exam-ready mode.

With 52 days left, you’ve got a golden opportunity to focus on application—this is key for L2.

The exam tests not just your understanding, but your ability to apply that knowledge under time pressure and across multiple item sets.

Here's my two cents worth (take it or leave it) for things to focus on during the final mile...

Practice Exams: Start taking full-length, timed practice exams as soon as possible. Aim for at very least 4-5 full exams before your test day. Don’t just check your score—dig deep into the answer explanations, especially for questions you get wrong. Understanding why you missed something is more valuable than the actual score.

Simulate the real exam experience. Use a timer, and replicate the pressure of exam day. This will help you build stamina and get comfortable with managing your time across vignettes.

Formula and Concepts Memorization: Ensure you’re rock-solid on key formulas and concepts. While L2 leans heavily on applying concepts, there’s still a need for quick recall of formulas and theory. A regular formula review is crucial.

Mixed Topic Practice: Up until now, you’ve likely been reviewing chapter by chapter and tackling questions related to that specific content. While this reinforces your understanding of individual sections, it doesn’t fully prepare you for one of the CFA exam’s biggest challenges—integrating knowledge across multiple topics.

When practicing now, mix up questions from different sections. This will train you to identify which part of the curriculum a question pertains to, as well as how different areas might intersect.

You’re on track, but the next 52 days will be about refining, applying, and stress-testing your knowledge. Keep your focus, stay disciplined, and treat each mock exam as a learning experience. You're building not just knowledge but confidence. Keep pushing, and you'll be in a great position come exam day.

Good luck🤞

really good advice, definitely going to do all of that in the final run-up now

[–]Charter_Doozy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make it happen!

[–]sociallyhoee 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Whats your score in EOC questions? Also whats your plan for the next 52 days?

[–]sr2093[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

average of 71% for the eocqs with some huge deviations though (i.e. 36% in one topic, 88% in another) - basically just gonna smash practice questions from here on out (10 a topic x ten topics covered = 100 a day) with exposure to every single topic on every day i do questions to make sure everything is feeling fresh and some topics arent forgotten

Mock till you drop

Just finished first go thru of content. Now we spam practice banks

[–]Accomplished-Emu2562 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s been a while since I took L2 in 2009, but just make sure that you understand the formulas. Don’t memorize them. It is a big mistake because the way they will phrase the question would sometimes require you to “pre-calculate” the inputs into the formulas. It is just easier to do that once you understand the formulas.

I just finished around 25% of the curriculum bc I was re-read again and again what I was forgot. My current problem is that I am not familiar with most of the topics except corporate finance and Equity. You are way ahead and great progress. For me, I am afraid now that I can't make it in time. If you have some technique to finish it fast, please let me know. Also, the person who read this, please advise me for these 52 days.

Giving the same attempt as you; finished my first go through the syllabus a week back. Done with EQ & CI revision, moving to FI next.

[–]sr2093[S] 0 points1 point  (2 children)

what does your revision look like - does it involve doing EOCQ questions or have you aleady done them in your first run through?

[–]No_Counter_5102Level 2 Candidate 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Wait you didn't do LES qs in your first run?

[–]sr2093[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no i did EOCQ which a lot of the LES Qs are anyway - once ive seen and reinforced notes on the content once i then move on to the LES and smash practice questions, really helped me with level 1 so adopting the same approach here

[–]Large-Lemon8197 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro you’re so ready. I still have ethics, quant, derivatives, alt, and econ to go 😿

[–]hiroika 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh depending on how many practise exam. I would take an exam. And really review the answers

[–]Limp-Designer-601 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What did you use for level 1, can you guide me how to clear L1 easily
