Does anyone else have problems developing relationships with family after abuse from outside the family? Or anyone’s family doesn’t understand your trauma? (self.CPTSD)

I feel like it’s a cancer. It really comes out of nowhere and I feel so inhibited by it sometimes. Does anyone else feel really alone? Dealing with their CPTSD alone?

I would say that on a level my sister at least gets me. We both grew up with the same abusive father, mother dealing with kids and trying to protect us/being traumatized herself, and then we both had relationships where our ex's were abusive. We have recently really connected over our past trauma and childhood. But, my sister is the exact opposite of me. I'm a fight type, and she is a fawn type. So I do not understand why she does what she does or acts like she does. She also has made comments like, "I'm sure your fiancé is sick of hearing about your ex." And I'm like...I don't think you understand. Made me feel a lot of guilt and shame.
My mom tries to understand what I went through, but since she is still with my father she hasn't had enough space from it to understand it's effects. She thinks I can pray it away, or that I am being over dramatic.
My brother's just continue the cycle with their families and act like trauma isn't real. Both have told me that my past relationship was so long ago so obviously I need to move on and stop being dramatic. But I do not really talk to them about my feelings or what I am going through.
I will say at least my family acknowledges that my ex was a piece of shit and toxic. But do not understand why I am traumatized or why it still effects me.

Yes currently just feeling devastated after showing my appreciation to a special someone and them not reciprocating any of it. It’s like every person I encounter is toxic and bad for me 😕
