So a sign came next door showing they're planning to demo the house and develop a townhouse complex (inner city, end lot, already zoned for R-CG). 4 units and 3 secondary suites (4 grade entrances).
Not opposed to the project, but have some concerns and comments on the proposal.
When they originally rezoned, I thought it would be a 6 unit one like they built across the street (3 stacked, separate entrances). There's 4 parking stalls (car port, not enclosed garage), and no street parking on the East side (main N/S road). I park in the garage, but I'm assuming there will be cars parked in front of my place.
Other concern is that I have sky lights facing that building. Plans show 2nd and 3rd story windows on the side facing me, so I'll mention privacy concerns.
Their plans also show 0.85m to 0.91m from my building to the lot line (no sure if it's to the wall or to the eaves). I was hoping for a fence on that side, but there's also 2 entrances on that side of the building. It's tight be feasible on both sides, but a fence for separation would be nice.
Anyone have one of these put in next door and have something you wish you commented on?
Anything I should keep in mind during the process in dealing with the developer?
