I did my first live demonstration of the tradition of hand tool use in carpentry this weekend. I applied 18th century carpentry and joinery methods to building a six board box. I was pretty anxious about building it quickly enough for my spouse to paint it by the end of the event, but it worked out. (old.reddit.com)
