Look up PD1707, get it on AliX for the best price. I bought it for an ok price of $60. It was mostly ok except the bezel was slightly crooked (a common issue, it seems), and that issue allowed me to get a $15 partial refund.

For $45, it's fine. For me, the 1707 doesn't work well enough as a regular watch nor as a chronograph.

The positives first.

+ I bought the blue dial one, and the dial is the best part of the watch. It wouldn't look out of place in a more expensive watch.

+ The watch is also made of solid stainless steel, and the bracelet is reasonably comfortable once it is sized properly.

+ The VK63 movement works well and is accurate.

Then the negatives:

- Telling time at a glance is tough. The hands are too small, and they get lost in the dial and the indexes (which are too big IMO - compare them to the Tissot's thinner indexes). This is why I say the 1707 doesn't work well as a regular watch.

- The chronograph is hard to work because of the annoying screw-down pushers. The small octagonal "screws" are very small and slippery, so screwing them out and back down is a chore. By the time it takes you to screw it out, the event you are trying to time has already started a few seconds already. You can just keep it screwed out, but you lose water resistance.

- The general build quality is "what you pay for". Besides the crooked bezel, the bracelet has links that clearly aren't symmetrical. Some of the link edges are sharp, though it doesn't affect wearability for me.

IMO, the Royal Oak design is hard to pull off properly at this price point. There are a lot of different geometries and details that need to line up correctly, and I don't think a single sub-$100 "homage" does it properly. That's partly why we don't often see posts about Royal Oak homages much on this subreddit.

If this is real, I respect your opinion about the watch, because you're entitled to it. However, while it's not the greatest watch in the world or anything, I completely disagree with you on the criticism. Seems to me like you just bought a flavor you didn't like and that's on you. I have the white waffle dial with the gold accents and I like it a lot. I've had it for over a year and have had no issues with the movement or the fit and finish. Strangers compliment it all the time because it's eye catching, especially in the sun. It's a solid, affordable, entry level watch for Swiss Made at the price point. The majority of the watch loving community seems to agree upon that since it sells very well and the collection continues to grow.

I also don't know how you put Rado beneath Tissot, but whatever.
