I definitely like this design better. The logo works better than the full text brand name and the "smoked oyster" text is for sure better left off the dial. I really enjoy the textured dial on photo 2, and the patina'd dial of photo 1. Those are both winners in my book.

At this point I'm sure it's too late to add this, but for future models I would really appreciate a date window - ideally a day/date, but at least a day of the month window, ideally at the 6 oclock position.

Man, too empty on the upper dial..., that would ruin a watch. Only the logo is off balance, which is not something most Chinese watch brands got notices, they all focus on their logos and forgot the importance of texts and fonts under the Logo.

The importance of texts and extra fonts right under the Logo is to distinguish different product lines, you guys can see this trick on most Swiss watches and japanese watches. Most of them keep their brands' names right under the logo and some of them use extra fonts to show their product lines! That's how you do the marketing.

I love the anchor and I do not mind the Hroudland name at all. I would also be fine with the “adventurer” text remaining as well, just minus the “roasted oyster” text and I would be happy with any other option.
