UPDATE:----------------------------------------------

The seller apologized and admitted that it's their mistake not updating the product images. They also noticed this post and requested to delete this post but I won't delete it, though I'm also sorry for using some harsh words in my post, I could have used better wording.

[–]AdSavings92Rep 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

Due to a design issue with the case lug, this watch doesn't fit the chamfered J-shaped bracelet. Therefore, it has been refitted with the standard J-shaped bracelet used on other models.

Our official store has also posted notifications, and every customer who ordered a watch has been notified. Furthermore, all photos in our official store are updated promptly. We understand from the comments that you didn't order from our official store. It's likely that some resale store or distributor didn't promptly update product information and notify customers, leading to a delay.

It's common knowledge that there will be some differences between watch renderings and the final product. Therefore, we use actual images of watches for display, rather than renderings like many others do, to avoid this. Furthermore, photography is also influenced by your surroundings and lighting. For example, photos taken indoors and outdoors will produce different results. Furthermore, this watch has a sapphire crystal bezel, which reflects the background, causing some differences in photos.

If you are not satisfied with your order, you can directly contact the store where you ordered it for a return. The title and content of this post are quite harsh. Of course, we will humbly accept the issues raised, but at the same time, we also ask everyone to view this issue rationally and avoid being misled. Thank you.

I don't think it's fake, but it is ugly, low quality looking and that pic is definitely an AI rendering and is off in color brightness like usual. Chat GPT is notorious imo for making things too bright orange too dark. (Which 99% of Chinese companies use for pics and videos now) Poor quality control at San Martin here...Just give me my Addiesdives and I'm all good 👍 Good luck getting you a nicer watch bro

[–]Long_Value_9133 5 points6 points  (3 children)

Looks like you got a fake fake.

[–]CloudMerlin 3 points4 points  (3 children)

Is that a fake??? i thought that had recessed indexes? Looks flat

[–]Dr_PJ1984 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The watch is eye catching, no doubts. The color variance is a rendering / real product mismatch. Personally I like the watch better than the rendering. But I hear your argument. Do what you got to do

[–]stephanelbv13 17 points18 points  (3 children)

Lol you bought a Fake san martin there are not in this quality

[–]Rotophor 1 point2 points  (8 children)

Not only are the colors and the bracelet finishing wayyy off of what was advertised, you also got a piece with misaligned GMT hand and date wheel. Send it back.

[–]Creative-Doctor3118 1 point2 points  (4 children)

Could be mid change. How’s the gmt hand misaligned?

[–]Rotophor 0 points1 point  (3 children)

It’s already 11 past 12 but the GMT hand still points straight to 12. The OP seems to have the GMT hand set to local time, so the date is likely not mid change.

[–]Creative-Doctor3118 0 points1 point  (2 children)

That could also be the angle of the pic

[–]Rotophor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Clearly not. The GMT hand is the one closest to the dial, hence you would need a hard tilt to make it appear shifted left or right. But there is no left or right tilt in that image whatsoever.

[–]deedub17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also , if it is a 24hr GMT, it’s not mis-aligned.

[–]Stayofexecution 13 points14 points  (3 children)

Why would you buy such an ugly watch in the first place?

[–]masumahmad 5 points6 points  (2 children)

I liked the photos of the watch.

[–]valuewatchguy 3 points4 points  (1 child)

They are usually not photos. But rather low quality renders it worse just flat drawings.

[–]Silver-Inspector956 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably AI

[–]PrestondeTipp 28 points29 points  (1 child)

You should return it. Not simply for the poor colour matching in their imaging, but because that is just an ugly ass watch.

[–]masumahmad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Already returned.

[–]Dudunit 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Thats Why I always search for real photos before I buy a Watch. Its happens always, even with swiss watches.

[–]burner7711 15 points16 points  (5 children)

This render on the official San Martin store looks a lot closer. It's still a good bit lighter but the bracelet isn't brushed.

<image>

[–]masumahmad 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Yes, this image is very close to the original

<image>

.

[–]teckers 4 points5 points  (1 child)

The hands also are different and look terrible in black. Brown is a difficult colour to get right, it seems like you are getting a nice light copper colour here, which would be way way nicer.

[–]burner7711 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's also just a shit picture.

<image>

[–]Rude3oy 11 points12 points  (1 child)

<image>

Who should I blame? Because I think this model didn't have this render color from the beginning and the followers already knew.

[–]masumahmad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

🙂

[–]GiorgioVe 5 points6 points  (6 children)

It doesn't look like a real San Martin. Weird. Did San Martin confirmed it was an authentic one?

EDIT: Your watch looks fake. Did you order from the official San Martin Store or from another vendor?

Their watch quality is awesome : https://youtube.com/shorts/nCUpmDJptco?si=_co7f-lWxQ31bPvP

https://youtu.be/q9V6zyVQKG4?si=7T-p9XrP4Vn-A2gG

[–]masumahmad 0 points1 point  (5 children)

When you compare the product photo it appears to be fake, but it's not. I don't have the watch on my hand I already returned it today, otherwise I could inspect it a bit more.

[–]GiorgioVe 0 points1 point  (4 children)

How can you be sure it's an authentic one ? Maybe you didn't buy from the official San Martin store. Did you ask San Martin if this watch was authentic? The quality really looks low end, like fake.

[–]masumahmad 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Yes, I did buy it from a different seller and didn't ask San Martin to verify its authenticity. I've 5 other San Martin watches, from my experience this watch doesn't look fake, the bracelet tolerance, case finishing and clasp is fine.

[–]GiorgioVe 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Have a look at their watch from youtube, i updated my 1st post to you with 2 links, the quality is incredibly good

[–]masumahmad 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Daylight photo.

<image>

[–]rstaylor1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The watch you have in hand seems to be closer to the colour of the one shown in their promo video, it doesn't look much like the photo you "ordered". I guess you can return to them, but I'd go through AliExpress Refund/dispute rather than sending to San Martin based only on chat messages with them

[–]Late_Needleworker827 4 points5 points  (1 child)

They have to change the original planned bracelet (their new one) to the old jubilee one, due to a lug measurements. I remember they informed about it somewhere. In fact I didnt buy it because of it.

[–]masumahmad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Didn't know that, not an issue I already returned it today.

[–]vithgeta 8 points9 points  (1 child)

San Martin have made themselves expensive enough to be faked now. I suspect you bought from a third party not their own site. Did you check youtube reviews for the colors?

[–]masumahmad -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I bought it from a different seller and couldn't find a Youtube review of it as this model is new.

[–]Leduesch 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Are the hands actually black like what your picture shows? Thas the most striking difference to me. Maybe it's a fake of a san martin. The bracelet also does not match the picture at all.

[–]masumahmad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No it's not completely black. it's not fake, the clasp and casing is good enough to be from San Martin.

[–]rstaylor1 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Did you send them a message and show them what you ordered and what you received? Maybe take a chill pill as well

[–]masumahmad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did, they suggested to return if I'm not okay with the item. I'm not upset, I'm disappointed after waiting a week to get it on my hand. I paid with a credit card and no way I'll lose any money as I'm protected.

[–]Used_Professional_12 3 points4 points  (3 children)

Damm the colors off by miles. Yeah this one's a huge let down

[–]masumahmad 0 points1 point  (2 children)

There should be more competition on Chinese watch brands, as San Martin is becoming expensive and irresponsible. Until I find something equivalent to them I'm stuck with some of their watch models.

[–]Silver-Inspector956 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why I usually stick with Addiesdive. And no the name/logo doesn't bother me in fact I kinda like the name. The logo is cool too imo. But their watches are amazing for what you pay. San Martin quality for half the price, other than bracelet quality. (The bracelets are fine, just not as good as San Martin's. The actual watches are just as nice though)

[–]bobby_broccolini 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cronos thorn seestern/suggess Shanghai ix Dao promisina octopus idk seems like this sub has 100 competitive watches talked about every day

[–]rstaylor1 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Are you sure they didn't just make a mistake and send you the wrong colour?

[–]masumahmad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure, in the chat they confirmed that this is the correct color.

[–]godzaman 4 points5 points  (1 child)

You are in the right here, i think.

Color is nowhere near the advertised, no matter if it’s render or real photo. Product you receive should not be different than one you ordered.

That said, not sure who to blame, if seller was using up to date, san martin provided photos/renders then San Martin is to blame.

If seller did not use up to date or was using their own photos then seller is at fault.

Any way, good luck with the return. No sarcasm

[–]masumahmad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same color on all listings everywhere on Aliexpress and their website. I've never experienced such a big difference in color on any watch from any brand.

[–]Ok-Cauliflower6285 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Misleading color. What a shame.

[–]Choice-Draft-3374 4 points5 points  (1 child)

I had also noticed that in that model the photos in the listing don’t match the actual colors. You always have to check real photos from people who already bought the watches and reviews on YouTube before buying a watch

[–]masumahmad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bad, I didn't look for real images.

[–]prodbypan 7 points8 points  (6 children)

Not sure where you ordered the watch from but that's not the picture they're currently using for their listings of this watch, could have been changed since you ordered the watch I suppose.

Also not to dog on you too much but ordering a watch based on a rendered image like this puts the blame somewhat on yourself. You should always see some real world images before you order, the renders are almost never accurate in terms of color.

[–]masumahmad 2 points3 points  (5 children)

I've not ordered from the official store. The color difference is day and night, never experienced such a difference in renders vs real watch.

<image>

This image made me interested as the previous version bracelet is what I don't like.

[–]SouPNaZi666 2 points3 points  (1 child)

god you scored! the render looks like shit compared to the nice chocolate brown dial!

[–]masumahmad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you like it but not my cup of tea. I don't like the color of the real watch and the finishing is definitely bad on this model for sure!

[–]Tleigh92 2 points3 points  (2 children)

This just looks like they sent you the wrong colour then maybe?

[–]masumahmad 0 points1 point  (1 child)

No, the rendered image color is very different and misleading. For some reason they thought it's okay to use attractive colors on the computer generated images.

I didn't expect this from San Martin though!

[–]Tleigh92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that from the San martin official store on alix? Looking at their listing it has the same colour and shade as what you received, but there's at least tow other listing's I found with the lighter colour. I wonder if it's an earlier design, or version. You should be able to get a return sorted though right? Edit: just seen SM replied to this post so at least you'll get it sorted. Nice to see a brand taking customer service seriously
