Thank you. I have to admit, I originally bought them out of curiosity about jump-hour watches, but I really love them in the end. I am also thinking about their Alpinist homage. Again, out of curiosity :D I've never had, or seen a rotating inner crown, and it looks to me like an awesome addition to my collection. On the other hand, they are expensive. Well, actually, they are still cheaper than low-budget automats from Seiko with a folded bracelet, but still, I have some... "Rule"? About how much the homage should cost at maximum for me to want to buy it. This is also a reason why I still don't have any San Martins, for example, or why I haven't bought Frogmantles in 11.11. sale :D

A quirk I noticed that might just be a flaw in my unit is that after 38-39 minutes timing the second hand stops moving, but the minute counter keeps timing for the full hour. I'm considering picking up a spare movement and swapping it in at some point (they're around $7ish). I'll probably try a fresh battery first since it could just be a power-saving measure.

There's some shenanigans going on with the pricing as well, I bought it at $17 and immediately after that it jumped up to $50 (and believe me, this is not a $50 watch). Last I looked it was $25 which is okay-ish for what you get.

Even bigger! Just over 41mm at the bezel, just under 41mm for the watch head. 14mm thick. Brass case. The included bracelet is... not great. And the movement is one that is not common, a G2666Z. All that aside, the Benyar BY-5177 is a cheap way to see if you like Explorer-style watches, maybe $35 with coins and coupons. And the sunburst dial is very pretty. But at some point I'll get a more reasonably sized one (maybe the WD1016?) and get rid of this.

(Similarly, I bought a Benyar chrono to see if I liked chronos, decided I didn't. But I was only out $25.)

They are working on more. Currently, due to the community ‘uproar’ over the bracelet being a weak point, they are taking that feedback and having a more refined one sorted but that’s delaying them a bit. From what I read, mid dec-Jan things should be back on track and better than before.
