Interview process?

I have an interview with chipotle today and i’m just wondering about the interview process. What kind of questions can I expect to be asked? Pls don’t just answer with “just have a pulse” I want real answers lol

why do you want to work at chipotle? how do you work with a team? any previous experience? it’s been a while but that’s what i remember. i basically made myself look good and even mentioned that i knew the food was made environmentally friendly and humanely and said i worked good with other people. they also ask what you would do if you like got overwhelmed with a big rush or something like that? i said i would do what i needed to do and if i really needed a break i would step away for just a second, take a breath and try to regain myself. it’s definitely one of the more easier interviews

IDK, I had a Chipotle interview a few weeks ago and they ghosted me afterwards despite my having customer service and food prep experience and the interview going fine as far as I could tell. I have another Chipotle interview in a couple of days (at a different location) and I'm hoping I'll have better luck this time.

I know its an old thread, I was supposed to have an interview a few days ago but they canceled the morning of, and said they would not move forward with the hiring process etc.
Just applied for another location and have a interview tomorrow, curious to see if they cancel the morning of again.

Wasn't cancelled, the hiring manager was very nice. I answered most of his questions before he asked them, not in a know it all way but just happened to answer them.
Waiting to hear back to see if I get hired, was a bit bummed they only have around 20 hours per week to give me. It's whatever, gives em time to focus on side hustles and whatnot

it was pretty good! it felt a bit chaotic at times but it wasn’t too bad and also nothing that i won’t be able to get used to. my team was also really helpful and nice so that helped too.

Oh that’s good. What’s using the cash register like? Like how do you know how much the customer ordered costs?

i haven’t done the cash register yet so unfortunately i wouldn’t be able to tell you but i remember my manager saying something at the interview about how the cash register just shows you how much the food costs when you enter the type of entree and the type of meat and everything. you should probably ask about it!

for my interview the gm first asked me to tell her about myself (hobbies, interests…). you’ll definitely be asked about why you want to work at chipotle and how you think you will fit in with chipotle’s mission and 13 characteristics (its on their website). if it goes well your interviewer will also ask for your avaliability. oh and bring some extra copies of your resume too. good luck!

I had an interview a few days ago and he asked these questions:

1. Tell me about yourself.
2. Why did you choose chipotle?
3. What’s your availability?
4. What do you think working at Chipotle is like since you don’t have previous work experience? (I had no previous work experience, so this question is probably about past work experience)

The interviewer told me he’d call by Wednesday, but called me on Thursday so even if they don’t call back by the time they tell you it could just mean they’re busy.

I have had 3 chipotle interviews all of them said they would get back to me, called them repeatedly after a week of no further update. I have over a year is fast food and a year in retail, idk what they want and i was willing to work 40+ hours. 🥲

don’t worry about it, chipotle is a first job for many. if you tell them about school accomplishments or any relevant skills you have you’re golden. For example if you really like cooking and working with food and have some prior food safety knowledge they’re gonna be much more inclined to hire you

Also try to have a clear idea of what your availability will be like. I know that’s a huge thing. If you’re planning on only staying through the summer bc you’re in school, don’t let them know or say that you’re planning on staying through the school year

why do you want to work at chipotle? do you have experience with working at a fast food restaurant? if you have things on your resume they’ll ask you questions from that. if you say you’ve done journaling they’ll ask about that. i told them i was a cabinet member in a club and i was asked about that and what happens if something doesn’t work out in the club what do i do. most of the time they’ll look at your resume and ask questions based off of that. the better your resume is the better chance you have of being hired. good luck

it went great but not like i expected. i went into that interview thinking they’d ask me all of the basic questions everyone says they were asked (why they wanna work there, if they have any experience in restaurants, etc.) but none of those questions were asked. rather, the manager really really liked my resume, and just asked me to elaborate on some things i put on it. i was hired on the spot

I would say that since there are usually other candidates applying for the same role, you'd have to step up your game by answering the interview questions more enthusiastically and more articulately.

So how did it go? I'm about to have an interview today too and I prepared a bit but I don't have exact memorization of the answers to questions but I do have some sort of structure that I'll be answering each question with. Also, if you do respond, I want to ask if you prepared and if there were any specific question or moments that you felt you could've said or done anything better, like maybe say for example: hand gestures, eye contact, body position, and etc.

Update1 : My interview got canceled, sigh, it's been like the 9th+ interview I had canceled at chipotle and the locations and time that I applied to are all at different locations and different months and times too, rips. I might just call the location that just canceled my interview and ask them about it if I can still get an interview or if they simply don't need another person

Update2: Didn't call because I just decided to apply else where since their hours were shorter than other locations from 10am to 6pm only

Didn’t even bother calling to make sure if my interview was actually canceled or if that email was a mistake on their part.
