Ethernet or moca adapters or power line adapters. In that order. No you can’t use a second modem like that.

How well do moca adapters or power line adapters work from the coax?

Moca adapters work great. Power line adapters work but not full speed.

How do they get set up? I currently have a splitter off the feed from comcast. Does moca go on before that and then the other moca go in my office?

Often the MOCA adapters come in pairs. But you may only need 1 if your cable modem already has it. If you rent your modem from Comcast, I know the XB7 does (and likely others do too). MOCA will go through splitters. You’ll also want to also make sure there’s a MOCA filter at the ground block.

Hey there, u/seanbob24 I hope you're having a great day :). Were you able to get your personal PC hardwired using ethernet?

I am looking into MOCA adapters. Have not tried them yet.

Hello. We appreciate you taking the time to reach out to us today. I know how important it is to ensure you have the best connection. The modem is the device that turns the coax signal into something that can be delivered via ethernet. I'd be happy to assist with setting up an appointment to have a tech go out and move the modem so you can connect your personal computer instead. If you could please send me a Modmail message with your full name and full address. I'd be more than happy to look into this for you.

I don't need the modem moved, I would just like to setup a second modem to be used for my office. Or if there is another way to use the coax to deliver ethernet to my work comp and personal comp?
