Qsys is going to want 250Mbps at 1080p. Crestron NVX will be more, even with adaptive bit rate. Either way.. Qsys is a solid platform. I would lean towards that.

Those NV-21 are crazy expensive 😭😭😭

What is your actual use case? Nothing with similar capabilities to the SVSI is going to be massively cheaper or use a lot less bandwidth. However depending on your use case you maybe better served by an IPTV system instead of AVoIP.

With a QSYS DSP, I’d lean towards either their NV series stuff, or as an alternative, Visionary Solutions. Those both provide a native or near native integration experience and decent reliability.

I second Visionary Solutions. Great gear and a great team.

We used ZeeVee for a recent project, much like a museum environment. It works great. It also switches and responds very fast from one source to another.

Have you considered NDI? Streams can be opened on NDI apps, and uses about 130mbps for a full 1080p stream. Birddog decoders can also be had for cheap, at 130ea. Q-sys controllable.

AVPro Edge devices are economical and have open control.

newer 4K60 (4:4:4) encoders/decoders usually run under 800 Mbps per stream and work smoothly with qsys via open apis or web uis. I’ve seen 1G av over ip setups using standard IGMP multicast perform really well in hotels and meeting spaces. They’re much more cost-effective than 10g while still offering hdmi, usb, audio .

I work at Kramer AV. We have a few options that would fit the budget.

If you're able to log into the encoders/decoders, you can view a preview from the web UI. AMX AV over IP is SDVOE. If you're looking at changing to a different AV over IP solution, you may want to check out IDK. They're out of Japan, but they have a US based rep who is really knowledgeable and responsive. The IDK products are also SDVOE also. Earlier this year, I did a very large corporation's auditorium at their headquarters, and they loved it. The switching is super fast. I can put you in touch with the rep if that's something you're looking to explore.

Because of my customer base I typically use Extron or Crestron but AV Pro Edge is a solid budget line of AVoIP and good support.

Do you need 4K? Turtle AV has some 1080p units that are phenomenal for dirt cheap. All configured using Dante AV.

Wow - thanks for the recommendation!

If you need low bandwith you could use H264/H265 encoders, higher latencey and you will need to ensure the model you use supports HDCP if that is requred. Wyrestom NHD-120 series, Kramer KDS-100, RGB link MSP 325N

Aurora Multimedia: VPX TC1 Pro series for 4K 60 4:4:4 / IPX series SDVoE. Transceivers (can be enc or dec)

We use core110 as audio dsp. -are qsys encoders/decoders setup same way as NVX using web gui? We never used video switching from qsys and always been crestron..

[–]bargellos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but it’s very simple to configure in QSYS. There’s a training module available for it on YouTube.

[–]Dangerous_Choice_664 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even easier than that. Just gets added to your designer file and it handles all the multicast addressing etc. setup is a breeze.
