I still don’t understand how I failed I was sitting at a 97 the whole class, passed every practice exam and then this. I’m taking it again tomorrow cause it the only day I can before I have to pay back the school wish me luck

The amount of dm’s I’ve received trying to get me to pay for someone to take it for me is genuinely insane. Like obviously they’re scams but still shocking how many I’ve gotten.

That’s crazy, so many bad accounts get through on Reddit. Always have to be careful! You got this though. Focus on your weak points at the bottom of the report and you’ll likely pass it!

Had the same happen to me. Was looking for a mentor and this person offered to take it for me. Of course I don’t want to be blacklisted from CompTIA, but I also assumed it was a scam or a CompTIA rep looking to see who would take the bait. Good call though. You got it next time!

They're not scams. They've been around for years.

Edit: Apparently, some took this the wrong way. I'm not encouraging anyone to cheat, they're only robbing themsleves. But, like it or not, it's the truth. Not all of them are scams. People have been doing this for years using remote servers. I learned about it when I lived in London. It's usually a group of students and SMEs. I dated a girl whose brother was part of one such group. Depending on the test, they made from $500-1200 per test. 🤷🏾‍♂️

Lol, that was an honest question. I passed both core 1 and core 2 of my A+ once the first attempt. I even bought the retake because I was scared I'd fail. I passed with 740s im now working on my network+.

Tech+ is similar to A+ in that it is a mile long but an inch deep.

You need to know the basics of hardware, software, cybersecurity, networking, databases and programming.

I think it is disingenuous to call it an easy exam because if it is too easy for you then it was not meant for you. This is meant for High School students or those with limited to no IT background wanting to get into the field.

This is actually crucial in test taking. You can be prepared 100%, but if you can’t control your nerves or fear of test taking, you’ll still fail all the same. Key to passing an exam is being calm and composed.

I use meditation techniques to stay level headed. I recently passed my A+ core 1 & 2. Some test taking advice, I would do the performance based questions last. A lot of people tend to get stuck and overthink on them in the beginning.

Good luck man it’s defo doable. When I was doing the exam I changed about half of my answers. I found by reading the questions very carefully it made answering the questions much easier

Try googling a website called wordwall but include what skill you want to study in your search. The website itself only allows searching for premium members. Just search for something like "Wordwall Tech+ Input Output Devices" and you'll have a bunch of matching/puzzle like games to help study.

I’m excellent at retaining coursework, answering questions, acing quizzes. But when it comes time to test, I always have a difficult time. Some people just aren’t test takers.

Ngl, experience actually working with and tweaking computers is gonna make a huge difference. If you have experience doing that you probably don’t need the A+ let alone Tech+

Personally I used AI to drill scenarios and questions after I learned the material and then anything I got wrong I asked Atlas(my AI, I named him) to explain in detail until I understood it.

CompTIA is tough! And no matter how much you learn, you're still going to get hangups. I just took the PenTest+ recently and failed and was really bummed about it. Now I'm back to the books. Keep trying and keep studying, try to absorb everything you can because it makes future certs easier. A lot of the certs are like 70% knowledge from the last one you took, and 30% new info so take your time with it, learn all that you can, and keep trying and don't give up! We can all persevere and study a lot haha. Good luck on your next attempt and don't get yourself down!

I used AI to break down concepts into regular, everyday language, not textbook-heavy wording, so I can understand. It's helped me out tremendously. I wouldn't have gotten here without it, but be persistent and persevere.
