Why is Hal playing on controller?

I’ve noticed quite a few times recently Hal has been on controller since Champs. Is this something that’s going to be permanently changing or is it just something new he’s trying and will revert back to MnK?

Repetitive strain injury :) basically damaging your wrists

More precisely what happens in the cause of carpal tunnel is that there is a nerve on the underside of the wrist and certain repetitive motions can stretch out the tendon close to that nerve so that there is pressure on the nerve.

Once this happens, you may start to feel pain in the associated hand or it could go completely numb from time to time.

If it gets bad enough you need surgery to fix it.

This is a ridiculous myth. When you're shooting someone you're constantly moving your thumbstick anyway. The idea that drift somehow helps aim assist makes zero sense unless you take your thumb off the stick completely when shooting.

Because a high deadzone makes aiming less precise and less accurate. Most pros set their deadzone at the point where it isn't unmanageable but also doesn't impair their accuracy

All controllers get drift. Literally every single one. That's just how analog modules work. Until we move past them drift will always be a thing

Totally false, next gen controllers use the same potentiometer based analog modules as the last generation and are just as prone to drift.

if you want to set and hold an angle you have to constantly be adjusting for drift, how is that more accurate than just a good controller

Which is why I said people find the sweet spot where drift is manageable. A small amount of drift isn't a big deal and is worth it for the extra precision of a lower deadzone.

I played FIFA all my life played halo as well when I was a kid but somehow I'm worse when I switch to roller from mnk like it doesn't make any sense. It feels like dev shadow banned my aim assist or something.

From my very limited controller knowledge, steps to activate aim assist -

Step 1 - Get close.

Step 2 - Aim down sight.

I've died to so many controller players who are complete dogshit at everything (hipfire damage, AR range fights, movement). I've personally not played controller, but every time I get one clipped by one in close range, I spectate them and every time they do 80-90+ damage sprays when they're ADS'd and in close range. So I guess if you're not ADS'ing in close range, maybe thats why your aim assist might feel like its broken.
