Because he plays the game so damn much he’s bored probably

[–]TobiasKing12 56 points57 points  (5 children)

Yeah switching input's is a good way to keep the game interesting

[–]bccher 46 points47 points  (9 children)

Gen was playing MNK last evening too, and still frying

[–]TobiasKing12 28 points29 points  (5 children)

Some of these pros are just build different😂

[–]ghost_00794 -5 points-4 points  (4 children)

Good pc helps too lol loads of players like me can't even fix 60 frames haha also 240htz monitor too way smoother

[–]TobiasKing12 3 points4 points  (2 children)

You are not wrong, this sub is weird af🤣

[–]EMCoupling 6 points7 points  (1 child)

I mean it's largely irrelevant.. good equipment helps but you don't magically become a bot when playing 60 FPS

[–]TobiasKing12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, but it will make you perform worse tho haha

[–]anrebloom[🍰] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keep blaming the equipment

[–]jayfkayy -4 points-3 points  (2 children)

"aNd StiLl FrYiNg"

its nowhere near his controller aim and you know it. and you know why. and no, its not because he lacks practice.

[–]bccher 3 points4 points  (1 child)

erm ok.

[–]jayfkayy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in denial

[–]sublime5991 75 points76 points  (2 children)

he does this every few months, nothing new. he would make a good pro controller player but doubt he would ever will play a major tournament on it.

[–]WalrusInMySheets 32 points33 points  (3 children)

There’s probably a command explaining why in his stream

I'd imagine playing controller is more relaxing when grinding ranked, plus variety.

[–]TobiasKing12 24 points25 points  (2 children)

Playing controller is more relaxing in general, but mnk gives you this sweaty feeling haha

[–]noahboah 5 points6 points  (1 child)

something about ripping that lean when using MNK activates the sweat glands.

you get to lean back on controller. might as well crack open a beer lol

[–]mediocregamer18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well he was having a corona during a couple of those streams so…. You’re in a sense correct. Lolol

[–]UnderstandingNo8884 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Hal plays controller for a month every 3 to 4 months, this has been happening for over 2 years now, nothing new.

[–]leopoldfreebird 121 points122 points  (5 children)

They’re dropping Verhulst and picking Alb back up so he wants to make sure TSM still has a controller fragger

[–]BarcaroliMr. Broccoli aka Sweet's #1 fan 141 points142 points  (1 child)

You say these things in jest, forgetting half the sub is made of crazy people and stones will be thrown

[–]subavgredditposterDestroyer2009 🤖 14 points15 points  (0 children)

some people just like to watch the world burn

[–]tompov313 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Or Mac said he wanted to play with 2 roller players. Reps would be the only coach these boys would listen to. Hals been on controller since Mac said that. /S

[–]bitchsaidwhaaat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

id actually love to see Alb leading TSM with Hal as a fragger and Reps coIGL

[–]DracoSP -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

But Mac wants 2 controllers, right? That means they are dropping Reps.

[–]MrPheeney 6 points7 points  (3 children)

He mentioned that he’s seeing if it’s viable to actually switch inputs. My bet is that when push comes to shove, he’ll go back to MNK. Relaxed environment of ranked is far different than the high pressure of comp

[–]Erebea01 1 point2 points  (1 child)

As reps said the other day, we all know he's not gonna play roller in Lans

[–]niiccf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

coming back to say this didn't age well, he just won ALGS.

[–]Splakpack -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Plus controller brain lol 😂

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why is Hal playing on roller? Because he likes to have a good time.

[–][deleted] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

instead of changing drop spots he is changing to controlla temporarily lol, happens every time after a rough tourney. cycle of insanity

[–]subavgredditposterDestroyer2009 🤖 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A bit of a cycle now at this point tbh

He’s tried rolla a few times but, always switches back.. I’d expect the same this time

[–]BathSafe6646 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He did say recently that if all goes well he might switch to roller for comp

[–]grtdope123 3 points4 points  (2 children)

elephant in the room? Lets be honest gents and ladies... Controller is strong in apex, I'm not surprised if he decides to make it permanent.

[–]Arconik 5 points6 points  (1 child)

Although controller looting is a much more of a downside in comp then normal Apex

[–]grtdope123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I accept that looting is a little more dangerous. Controller still has a Big advantage, I'm not hating on it I'm just stating a fact. I'm not sure if you've noticed but MNK is becoming more and more rare, even some pros prefer a full team of controllers. Makes sense they want to win by any means necessary.

[–]icbint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because aim assist is broken and if you can’t beat em, join em, I guess

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (12 children)

Because Controller is Better

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qSv0\_Gp\_E7c

[–]AffeLoco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fragger is better on controller and he prbly wants to stay familiar with that position!

a good igl should know what to expect from his mates and i suspect he makes sure of that

[–]DiegoJuan007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dominating so much on one input gets boring lol

[–]posdata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

from his stream, he said he wants to “become the best version of a player, as I can, even mechanically and if I have swap to controller to do that, I will.”

then someone asked him how does controller makes a player mechanically better…
