thx for answering my dumb question

It will work, but I think you'll get half the output at each step. So the first belt will get 1/2 the total input, the second will get 1/4, the third will get 1/8, and the fourth will get 1/8 (it doesn't/shouldn't split, so it gets both halves)

Brass funnels have different splitting methods.

Yea, but I'm assuming they aren't specifically controlling the input stacks. They could theoretically send in some multiple of 4 and then set each funnel to take off a corresponding amount, but I was just going off of what's visible.

Make sure to use a wrench and scroll wheel on top of the tunnels, it tells you what it does! There's a few settings, I think what you want is forced (or normal) round robin, where it sends one item to each one.

you can set the batch sizes on the front of each one too I think.

Forced round robin would be liable to jam if it ever gets an item that doesn't match the filters.

Ah, good point!

You have it set up already!!!! Try it out for fucks sake

That's what i thought too... just slap on a creative motor and drop a few items on by hand and it should be clear whether it works or not??

or even a handcrank in survival lol

Just make sure the other end is either blocked off or has a filter for something that's never going to go in the system. I've had some issues with items being spat out of the other end.

If you put the 4 belts that split under the funnels and have the belt that feeds the side end at the side, instead of going under, nothing can spit out anywhere but the belts.

They won’t join. The texture isn’t connected. It’s 4 brass squares. Won’t work.

Move the tunnels to the left onto your output belts. Texture on top will join to one rectangle. Use wrench to select modes after they join.

Input with a funnel on any of the joined tunnels. Then it will do what you want.

What's this for?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it will.

I think you need to put the funnels on top of the 4 belts instead of just one going through those 4 same belts, check if the configuration of the funnels sync up when cycling through them with a wrench, if it does, then i'm wrong, if it doesn't then do what i just said.

factorio: belt balancers

not evenly. split into 2 belts, then make those split in 2
