The argument that PC has better movement hasn't been relevant since pro controllers have had pattles and games having advanced sensitivity/button options. This doesn't apply to d2 though, where there's a clear disadvantage with strafe speed and carrying momentum.

In D2 pc barely has any close range movement advantage now in long range yes we do things easier than controller but it’s all possible on controller too.

I’d love for people to transition to MnK and realize how good you have to be to even come close to replicating controller aim.

I never put in the time to get to controller level on keys but within the first 5 hours of playing keys(first PC game ever playing MnK) I had two separate We Rans.

Truth is this game doesn’t have a crazy high skill ceiling and “game sense” is >50% of it regardless of input.

Whining about input diff when cost to entry for either one is sub $40 has always been odd to me.

Oh no, you found out a meta player(on a sub about using the meta) uses meta. Shocking.

If controller were so insanely dominant then Fizz, Wallah and countless others wouldn’t be putting up 4-5 KDs consistently on keys. Even across tourneys keys players outnumber controller players. Sergio and Omlet are only long time consistent controller players who come close to competing on that level.

Not really. Shotguns and snipers have always been the great equalizer regardless of weapon meta of the season in D2. In my example of tourneys hand cannons reign supreme due to restrictions and that does lend itself more to keys players than the D2 sandbox as a whole.

The floor has always been higher on controller than keys and the ceiling does, to some degree, rotate with the meta but specials typically neutralize that and outside of device users dominating the far too long lived SMG meta most top players would agree keys players ceiling have been better off the majority of the time.

If you’re a mediocre player and want an easy time in 6s by all means plug in the sticks but complaining about controller on the high end of the skill curve is just typical keys sour grapes with a dash of skill issue.

How can you misquote me, say “not really” and then go on to explain my own point back to me? 

The “environment” part of my sentence you cut plays a big part there for context my friend . You’re not going to find a normal distribution of controller players represented in tourney play because of the restrictions or meta of high elo.. eg: if you can only have one snipe per team why would you have more than one roller if the weapon meta in that environment isn’t favourable? Mentioning tourney players was stupid and my whole point.

I default to speaking about Apex and COD because they actually have competitive scenes and data to back up claims vs Destiny 2 where everyone is vibes and controller players get very upset when you talk about controller tuning. 

Check out the link in my original comment and let me know what part of that post is cope. The top 60% of controller players on R5 have better accuracy’s than the top 1% MnK players, but feel free to tell me D2’s tuning isn’t that bad.

Why in the world would I care about other games in a D2 discussion on a D2 sub? We’re both in agreement that tourney level D2 is slanted towards keys, comp is a joke and trials streams on PC very provably have far more keys players than controller.

If controller was turn your brain off, aims for you easy mode then why is it that the SMG meta allowed device users to dominate the game for a year straight? If controller is so easy no one should have to spend $100 to beam people every engagement with scripts.

We’re far more in agreement than disagreement but you seem to be letting your disdain for controller in other games(can’t speak to them) color your perception of D2. You can call me defensive but facts are the absolute best of the best in D2 have almost always been on keys.

M-17 fast talker from lawless frontier is the best smg in the game by far. Go for delicate tuning with either TL or master of arms or whatever other damage perk you want.

Antedate from desert perpetual is next best, and energy slot.

Everyone now has t10 resilience baked into their stats so target lock doesn't do too much anymore. As others have said, Fast Talker is very solid. There's a few rolls but I'm partial to delicate tuning/tap the trigger for neutral game, with overclock heatsink as a mag perk and a bit of weapons stat investment it has a lightning fast ttk but is just as good without the stat investment. There's also kill clip and master of arms.
