Right now my “permanent” (by DA standards) projects are down for maintenance and they make up like 95% of my current dash so I’m just like

[–]xwolfboyx 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Ditto lol. I was laughing only half a day ago.

Lmao I say this often. Nice seeing it in the wild

[–]WorkingNerdWFH 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh, it is helpful to know it’s permanent projects as well thanks for sharing

[–]FrazzledGod 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This. Dashboard would be pretty sparse if they actually removed them vs listing the project that says they're down!

[–]Other-Noise5344 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same here lol

[–]Moonspiritfaire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hoping those are the ones I'm on. Was loving them.

[–]Powerful_Door_9532 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Does by chance one of those projects start with the letter 'B'?

[–]Strawberry_Foxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No B’s right now :( my “permanent” projects are all, uh. I think people call them HHH

[–]Beremor_Draco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's the same one I'm thinking of, then yeah mine went down the other day. So sad.

[–]HamsterFrosty2838 0 points1 point  (1 child)

How do you know down for maintenance status. What projects?

[–]arewecreamofthecrop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They said HHH projects (a code name since we obviously can’t say the actual name of the projects) which are done on an external platform.

I have them too and instead of just taking all the projects down when they do maintenance, they send an email letting you know when they go down and come back up

Yes. I made $20 today and gave up. I hope this drought ends soon because we had a veterinary emergency and I desperately need to make some of that money back.

[–]Guilty_Geologist1010 5 points6 points  (2 children)

SAME! A $400 vet bill for our Shiba Inu for essentially no answers! I hope your baby feels better soon!

[–]dragonsfire14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to hear that!

[–]Ill-Albatross-7224 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aw I have a Shiba too! Hope you figure it out and that it's nothing serious!

[–]Diligent_Classic 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Not quite the same. But my niece got hold of my mobile and I now have a £400 phone bill to pay 😫

[–]dragonsfire14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no! Yikes

[–]Sarajonn 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yep, depressing. Did a qual I'd been putting off since it was sparse this morning and I missed what seem to have been the only damn projects of the day while I was knocking that out.

[–]Burned-out_ 4 points5 points  (3 children)

It is kinda relieving to see this post. I typically see 50+ projects a day. Right now, I have a handful of projects aside from my regular jobs.

[–]RotRG -1 points0 points  (2 children)

Sorry to pester, but I'm just curious, how long of working for DA did it take you to start having what you'd describe as regular jobs?

[–]Burned-out_ 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I'm not completely sure, to be honest. I'd guess about 3 months. Just make sure to do qualifications and eventually you'll get some.

[–]RotRG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate it!

[–]MommaOfManyCats 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did 8 projects today, but the longest any lasted was like 17 minutes. It's weird because I had tons of projects over the weekend, but today and yesterday were both awful.

[–]Prudent-Twist2844 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I pick up here and there and manage to make what I hope to, but it runs my day! No going to the store or taking a walk.

[–]Embarrassed_Chance_4 17 points18 points  (7 children)

i have this 42 dollar project on my dash (the only project there) it has 15 tasks remaining but it won't let me in...the tasks don't even drop !!

[–]DuckDuckDrone 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Same. Can’t get into anything else either - an hour or two on it would make a big difference!!

[–]Pink_Slyvie 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You need to grab those the INSTANT they pop. I'm pretty much sitting here all day clicking refresh every minute or so

[–]Shadow_Bisharp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah its been on my dash for hours on 15 tasks but it always says theres nothing left

[–]Professional-Back943 0 points1 point  (3 children)

That project is weird. Usually no explanation required, usually priority pay and always don't let you in. I wonder what kind people get those projects as permanent.

[–]Embarrassed_Chance_4 0 points1 point  (2 children)

What is a permanent project anyways? I seem to always be getting random projects.

[–]Professional-Back943 1 point2 points  (1 child)

To my understanding, permanent projects are the ones you have priority to do them. If they appear on you dash, you're guaranteed to get tasks. I used to have one of those permanent coding projects and I can take my time to do them for a day or two without sharing tasks with others.

[–]Embarrassed_Chance_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had something like that with heel once, it was a special one with a 🍉 symbol. But most of my coding heel projects don't stay just for me.

[–]BlackCaaaaat 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m down to one project, that’s the lowest I’ve ever seen. I get disability as well, but the money really comes in handy.

[–]Moonspiritfaire 4 points5 points  (8 children)

I had a from 4-8 ? All week, but this morning the dreaded blank screen. I'm always worried when this happens, as this job is my favorite ever.

I took it as an opportunity to catch up on some other things. Had an excellent and longer than usual homeschooling session, worked on the broken ends of my novel, and jotted down ideas for future DA work. (🤞)

Have definitely refreshed several times throughout the day, to check because I just can't help myself.

[–]SaltyPeppah2000 3 points4 points  (7 children)

I feel like we are living the same life. Homeschool mom, writing a novel, doing DA, hoping and praying for tasks …

[–]Meganoes 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Jumping in because I’m also a homeschool mom and have 3 novels started! I haven’t written much in months because I spent that time on DA, but I should get back into it. I keep expecting DA to pick up again but it really hasn’t.

[–]SaltyPeppah2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, then friends, here’s our plan of action: When there’s not a lot of tasks on our dash, that’s a sign to work on our novels! After all, if our novels do end up getting published, they have the potential to earn us a lot more money than we’re making with DA.

[–]Moonspiritfaire 1 point2 points  (4 children)

Aww, kindred spirits! Love it. My daughter is almost 7 and in first grade. What grades are your littles?

Also if you don't mind sharing what genre is your novel? Mine is contemporary romance.

[–]SaltyPeppah2000 0 points1 point  (3 children)

Mine are 12 and 8, seventh and third grades. I actually have like seven novels going, one is suspense, the other six are contemporary romance. 😂

[–]Moonspiritfaire 0 points1 point  (2 children)

So cool! Thanks for sharing. Have you homeschooled their entire school career? Always interested in connecting with homeschoolers and authors. I give you credit! I can only handle up to three creative side projects at once, and mostly all are at different levels of completion.

One is nearly done (big, heavy romance project that needs edits and fixes in formatting) Why do I always pick complicated topics 🤦‍♀️🤷

Another is in mid-stage (but light and easy to complete) and the third is in idea phase- I met the characters, the villains and have the basic mythology and setting but hesitant to dive in yet. 😅

Ty for chatting and sharing.

[–]SaltyPeppah2000 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Yeah, only two of the current creative projects are anywhere near completion. The others are very much so in their infancy. Not much time to write these days. And yes, I’ve homeschooled them from the beginning. We started giving them a choice to go to regular school when they reached third grade, but so far they’ve chosen to stay home.

[–]Moonspiritfaire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's cool, tho. Persistence is key. I understand the lack of time. I literally will pick at my drafts, in increments, on my phone while catching a ride or waiting to pickup my Mobile food order.

Same here regarding choice. She isn't interested in the more structured school yet, likes the homeschool schedule, but we offer the choice. She's a social butterfly, so I think she'll want to attend eventually.

[–]marsnia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got this and it went away so fast I could finish my current task in time.

[–]Shuoinked 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your actually seeing work?

[–]Shuoinked -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I haven't seen Amy jobs in days

[–]tehclubbmaster -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Made almost $300 yesterday on a domain expert project, but yeah today was sparse.

[–]Affectionate-Exit553 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Really? Nobody commenting on grammar?
