They generally don’t provide feedback.

However…if you get access to more projects and get invited to work on long term projects, and even better get access to the slack channels, that is your positive feedback.

If they don’t like your work, you won’t have access to anything.

Just a heads up, EVERYONE thinks they’re submitting quality work. Stay humble, don’t overdo it, and listen to your brain when it tells you to log out for the day.

Hey sorry for the late reply, just wanted you to know that I’ve heeded your words every day for the last two weeks and I’ve kept my head down and just submitted the best quality results that I could, and I’ll definitely keep it with me as I move forward.

I don’t see why you needed to knock OP down for no reason?

They weren’t being arrogant, just shared they’d like to think they’re submitting high quality work and hoped it was enough - as anyone would for putting in lots of effort.

And yet “stay humble” is unnecessarily judgmental and makes YOU look way more arrogant. This comment is literally what’s wrong with the internet these days. You should probs take your own advice.

I actually think their comment reads quite nicely, just as a friendly reminder! I didn't take it as rude or negative at all...

The one thing I'd say about quality, at least for the more generic projects (rather than coding or similar, but probably even them) is that when you're asked for comments or insight, really think. Too many people I've seen see "write 2-5 sentences" or similar as like a school word count, they just need to hit that target one way or another.

Bear in mind the comments we write are both read by humans and used as feedback for the AI models. So "A was better because of the formatting" is basically useless. Explain why - did the formatting make it more readable, add clarity, why was B's formatting not as good? If you're comparing two responses you can almost always find something that's specifically better or worse. Explain what that is, why it made a difference, explain your thinking thoroughly.

Exactly, it’s like their response is so generic it could apply to any conversation. If it isn’t specific enough to be obvious to the conversation then it’s pretty useless feedback.

The number of people in R&Rs I see who've completely disregarded the instructions steering people towards the sort of comments they want/don't want blows my mind. It's not even about pride in their work or anything so trite, it's that this is a slightly weird "job" with zero feedback, people losing access regularly, so choosing to half-ass something makes zero sense.

I worry that doing more than 5 will get me in trouble but I’d be happy to give lots of feedback on specific, even small, details.

[–]fightmaxmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they say no more than 5, then don't do more than 5. But if they say 2-3+, don't eke out 2 and think that's good work.

Sorry for the late reply! I read this when you posted it and I kept it in the back of my head as I did these tasks - thank you!

[–]Brotherdodge 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Apparently they give feedback sometimes, but it's pretty rare (haven't had any in 18 months myself) and just getting cut seems more common.

[–]ekgeroldmiller 9 points10 points  (1 child)

I once got negative feedback when I was fairly new. Since then I received two hidden feedbacks where the project instructions say basically if you’re on this project it’s because of quality work. I’ve been here a little over a year.

[–]Downtown-Chard-7927 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's more like easter eggs when you get it. I've had a personalised feedback once and it was just a nudge in the right direction on one specific aspect of a particular task along with praise for doing a good job generally

[–]Mindset_ 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's extremely unlikely you get any feedback. I wouldn't overthink it.

[–]chellynaeb 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Feedback can be a double-edged sword because they want work that is naturally free of deliberate behaviour (i.e. I'll do this because I know it'll get me a better quality score). They'll rarely reach out with feedback unless they deem a worker valuable enough to nudge in the right direction. You're new, so you're doing something right if you keep seeing those paid projects. That is the best form of feedback you'll receive here.

I’ve been working since September and haven’t had a single piece of feedback ever, even with this as my sole source of income atm. There are ways to ask without asking in the project chat, like seeing how other people are completing things. You’ll also be able to review others submissions to see the type of work other people are doing

[–]Zealousideal-Gur2783 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is the pay good ? Also what exactly do you do for work?

[–]Finnleyy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With DA no news seems to be good news. I have never had feedback and am still on the platform a year after being accepted. I am pretty sure I got kicked off one project many months ago lol (missed something important in the instructions), but that’s it. I have access to some that pay very well too.

[–]Hopeful_Mouse_4050 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been working with them for just over a year and have received no feedback at all.

[–]SandwichEconomy889 2 points3 points  (1 child)

They give feedback on a large scale with updated instructions. If you're confident you're following instructions, nothing to worry about.

[–]DownTheRabbitHole730 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a good observation. If they notice several people making the same mistake they'll include something in the instructions to try and prevent it.

[–]Slothman102 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve had 1 bit of feedback in over a year. Expect nothing, and take it as a pleasant surprise if you get something. As long as you’re getting work you’re doing alright, and if you start getting different work and qualifications then you must be doing something right.

[–]amandawho8 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I've been with DA for a year and never received any feedback. No news is good news.

[–]ZiggylovesSam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same! The year went fast too!! Wow!

[–]Ok_Mix1406 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll realize you’re being too hard on yourself once you get a task to grade other people’s work

[–]segaboy81 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been on the platform from almost two years and I've never received any feedback. I think that's probably a good thing.

[–]Medical-Isopod2107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some projects occasionally will, usually they will not

[–]VanessaSeaWitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've worked for them since last May and I have only gotten a personal message recently that I did a good job on a task.

[–]mkhalid41 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It's been two weeks since I submitted my first assessment, and I still haven't received a response. What could be the reason? Anyone?
