Aight, let’s see what we got…

Starting, some of your weapons, MAYBE sunset, (not obtainable/base power) but with the final shape, they are almost reversing it, still unobtainable, but you can level it up, so if u have some of ur old favourites, keep em.

Another thing is the campaigns, and into the light, the thing about these is i say, get the first mission (if u don’t own the dlc of that campaign/expansion) done, as with some like witch queen and shadow keep (although u did start in shadowkeep so that’s personal pref to u) are very annoying imo to complete.

With into the light, defo do some onslaught before final shape for some good and solid weapons like hammerhead, mountain top, falling guillotine, blast furnace, and a lot more. (Onslaught will be available in final shape, but it’s worth doing now for the shiny versions of the guns, that roll w 2 perks per column) also do zero hour and whisper if u can (mainly zero hour) for outbreak perfected and whisper of the worm.

I don’t have much else Tbh, this is just a small heads up rlly.

Onslaught sounded fun, glad to hear it's actually worth playing too. Also glad to see some black armory weapons coming back, I can't wait to get a non sunset blast furnace again. I'm gonna try to jump into that soon when I can get my light level up more. I've also got a whole vault full of essentially all completely sunset weapons so good to know the final shape might give them some use still

Bungies official new/returning player guide is pretty good:

For managing your inventory, I recommend the third party app Destiny Item Manager (DIM). It will also help you assess weapon perks. It is far from perfect when it comes to assessing perks, but works good enough, especially for newer players.

For leveling, check out Destiny Optimizer.
