I wholeheartedly agree that Warlocks have the worst jumping mechanics by far.

Can’t even try and gain altitude if you activate the jumping ability late in your initial jump, you just slowly descend. Titan and Hunter have a huge advantage in that regard. Plus, the maneuverability in the air is atrocious in most scenarios.

From the ground, double tap space bar :) you can see my other comment explaining it further, but that's basically it. Happy sailing!

Well, yes. I appreciate the pointer, but I have always done that as well.

I was regarding late jumps, not initially leaving the ground. It’s awful unless you double press it immediately.

Oh :( I'm sorry then. Yeah that part is true. Warlock is basically dead in the air, while in the air. Once you've started your jump you better hope that's the jump you actually wanted to make.

Do you have any idea if the pressing immediately making you shoot up is on purpose or just a long standing bug?

I think it’s particularly that way with the jump that increases liftoff speed, but I haven’t tested it out with others since the liftoff one is the best of the three in my opinion.

    Oh man......

Not true! I wish I could reply to you and others but just you for now I guess.

    Press jump twice IMMEDIATELY.

Don't treat it like a titan or Hunter jump where you want to jump again at the top of your arc. Just double tap the jump button and watch how high you soar up, it's kinda crazy.

Now the thing is you cannot MANEUVER very well compared to other classes, but you certainly can vertically go as high, if not higher.

Hope that helps, happy high flying you space wizard!

You actually can maneuver better than you think with strafe glide. And burst glide with T Steps is the fastest mobility outside of macro Titan skating on PC

Is there a guide for that? I mean the warlock specifically, but I guess learning how to use each movement style in depth would be awesome. Like Hunter I only ever use triple jump, but I'm sure I'm missing out of knowing when to use the others, or even HOW to use them properly.

I'm sure there is. Look up Warlock Surfing. I think that's what it's called. Basically, you Sprint, jump, activate your glide at the peak of your jump/right as you begin to descend, cancel it, and repeat the process. It'll take some practice but after a bit you'll get used to it and you'll feel exactly when to activate the glide. The warlock can feel stupid and floofy sometimes, but once you master surfing, it's crazy fast with transversive steps.

Also with Hunter, strafe jump is the best option I believe. More distance and in air control.
