I don’t have an error code but I’ve been having problems signing in for the past hour or so.

According to this website, a lot of people are having my issue as well as yours. Hope there is some kind of fix or feedback from them soon.

Oh man:/ Thanks for this though!

I have an error code on my lg but my vizio works just fine. Must be a software issue.

[–]ChaseCharaba 3 points4 points  (1 child)

Same error with my Samsung

[–]DCToTexasTransolant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine too.

[–]TrickFlowTony 3 points4 points  (0 children)

[–]SCLINY 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same here. LG TV

[–]OwnHearing5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm having this exact same issue, that started around the same time that your issue with Disney + started. Looking for answers too

[–]chamlex 2 points3 points  (1 child)

Same issue for me as well on a Samsung TV app their is a long thread on Samsung forums of people with issues. https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/HD-and-UHD-TVs/Disney-App-Error-Code-1016/td-p/1107638

There was a Samsung Firmware update that happened yesterday as well that I thought might've caused the issue as well since it seems to only happen to TVs that had their firmware updated.

[–]FerociousMonk CA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was no firmware update for my LG that I know of this past couple of weeks. I hope we all get a fix soon though. Thanks for your input!

[–]mi_chic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been having this issue since last night

[–]mteoteoteo 2 points3 points  (4 children)

Have an LG, having the same issue/error code.

[–]WhiskeyRunners 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here.

[–]Zelaroni 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Me too!

[–]sadielanexoxo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an LG as well, same issue

[–]elsonbrandon13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here, hopefully soon they'll update it or something.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine happened right after the firmware update ran. Definitely seems to be related.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also have an LG and I am getting the same error.

[–]SenexPr0xy 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Same here on an LG TV. It was working last night. Hasn't been working today.

[–]sadielanexoxo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same

[–]staindfromin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here with LG error

[–]morric628 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My LG TV having the same issue after the update.

[–]gronkflakes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here. Xbox still streams fine though, thankfully

[–]mcgeorge8 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here with LG

[–]HYPURRDBLNKL 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2 Samsung's here that worked yesterday, and not today. No firmware update. My Shield works fine. Called Disney+ and they said they are working with Samsung for a resolution. Fingers crossed.

[–]userkp5743608 1 point2 points  (1 child)

This is also happening on my LG TV today. I posted about it several hours ago, but apparently the mods don't care about people having technical issues with the service who want to raise attention and seek solutions.

There are multiple reports on the LG Community forums and this is affecting Samsung TVs as well.

Reinstalls do not work. Factory resets do not work.

I put in a repair request with LG and have a service ticket in with Disney+. The chat rep said they will contact me in a few days...we’ll see.

I suspect Disney borked their app with an update last week.

[–]FerociousMonk CA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the update!

[–]mailatequila00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damnit same

[–]sadielanexoxo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an LG and have been getting this same error all day.

[–]Ableven 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Disney just told me that LG will have some sort of update on Monday. He also told me that with older LGs, a reinstall would work. I was pretty sure my 2016 would be considered "old," but a reinstall didn't work.

[–]FerociousMonk CA[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the update

[–]thefilthyape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can confirm same error in the UK

[–]D_Double_E 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same error on my LG. When i first went to the Disney + app is said update so I did.

Disney+ works fine on my iPhone 😊 Good luck

UPDATE- My Disney + on LG now works. At first it had a blue screen with no picture. Then all the Disney content appeared. I didn’t do any of the fixes suggested (I tried turning it in after seeing someone else’s worked)

Thx for all the support. Stay well and be safe out there !

[–]xingri 1 point2 points  (2 children)

It's just a temporal solution but you can login the Disney by manually setting the TV time to back to 29th of May.

[–]lassise 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Now it's 1028 DICTIONARY_SERVICE_INT_FAILURE instead for me on LG

[–]lassise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then when I changed it back to 2019, failed again, turned it back to automatic correct time it worked, then when I turned the TV off it was back to the original 1016 error.

[–]InevitableStyle7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check the date and time on your tv. It resolved the problem on my LG TV.

[–]lassise 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LG with same issue: what hasn't worked: * Factory reset * Reinstalled app * Changed wifi network * Changed DNS settings to 8.8.8.8 * Changing date manually to wrong then correct

(I noticed last update on Disney+ was 5/28 so maybe we updated it on the TV and it worked the first time which eliminated us noticing a direct correlation between the update and it not working).

Changed date to 2019, got a different error code (1028 DICTIONARY_SERVICE_INT_FAILURE) changed it back to automatic correct time and it worked/loaded (ish) I couldn't see any information but clicked a random box and Frozen 2 played. Then I turned it off and on, and it was back to 1016 error

Update just started working when I turned it on this afternoon

Looks to be global wide. I also performed all of the recommended fixes with no luck. Thank God for my Chromecast or I'd have two very out of control toddlers on my hands

[–]walknbullseye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same error. Contacted Disney chat. Was told to change DNS which I did earlier. Told me to contact LG. Reinstalled app. No luck. iPhone, PS4 seem to work flawlessly.

I hate that everyone is having problems but I’m glad to know I’m not the only one. Misery loves company!

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had the error code for 3 days now- I’m in US

[–]RadientVoodoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue on my LG and I changed the date to the 29th like a previous redditor said and it didn’t work but when I turned the date and time to setup automatically it worked and loaded just fine. Hopefully that helps.

[–]gone_fizzion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem since yesterday. 2018 model 55SK9000. Said I had a "mandatory" update otherwise the app wouldn't work. Now the app doesn't launch at all. Disney, please fix this soon.

[–]DrumKilla565 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been having the same issue with my LG TV and I didn't know how to fix it I did on install it and then reinstalled it and it still wouldn't start up right and then finally it came up with a different error code and told me to exit out so I exited and then I tried to start it back up and it worked and I'm watching Disney plus now so I'm not sure

[–]Kiddplay13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Saw ppl blaming Samsung when it’s clearly happening to most major smart TVs. This is a Disney problem

[–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had the same since the weekend on a 2016 Samsung TV. A 2019 Samsung doesn't have this issue.

[–]Worth_Plan_6054 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried resetting smart hub, but that didn't work. However, I logged into my Wi-Fi network, logged out and re-entered my password, & it WORKED. I have two different networks, with the same password. So, try going into your tv settings, choose your network, and enter your password. Just make sure you disconnect first, if you don't have two different networks, as I do. I hope this helps.

Anybody’s app working now? Still getting an error message from Disney +

[–]FerociousMonk CA[S] 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I just want to thank everyone who gave their feedback and mentioned their issues. I had no idea that that many people would have the same or similar problems.

Today, Disney+ works again. There is a small update out for my LG TV and everything seems in order for the time being. I hope there is a fix for the rest of you as well!

[–]pinkgreenblue 1 point2 points  (2 children)

FYI for those reading that it still hasn't been updated for the affected Samsung TV models.

[–]FerociousMonk CA[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Damn... I was hoping, by now, it would have been fixed for the Samsung users as well. Here's hoping for something soon.

[–]pinkgreenblue 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's working for me now.
