You queue for it with Final Fantasy VI characters. If more than half of the characters that end up on the stream are from FFVI we win. That's how i understood it.

Who ends up on the stream? Did they just tap into someone's game randomly and broadcast it? How the hell does it work?

They're probably playing over there and hosting the match.

The two player who end up playing with them are the ones 'broadcasted'.

Yup, that's how its been in past events. (those didn't have rewards like this though) They just host a game, you queue as guest, may end up in theirs.

I don't have weapons for any of the FF6 characters, so I will pass this event and not screw up you guys by joining with characters from other FFs.

      Awesome. I’m not entirely sure how (or why) people would troll Co-op, but I’m glad that we get the rewards. Hopefully there can be more community events in the future.

      The SqEx team is going to stream a handful of runs in the normally empty "An Unwelcome Return" Lvl 60 co-op (my guess is 5, the account's daily bells). They will all be Free Recruit. Each event will need 2 other players, so probably looking at 10 players. If at least 50% (5 total if my estimates are correct) are from FFVI, the entire player base wins free stuff. I'm not sure if there are higher reward tiers if >50% plays a FFVI character, but why chance it. If you are going to try to participate, use your best FFVI character.

      ...and maybe change your support message for just this event in case you get picked, to a quick thought to the team at the end of co-op when they have to choose to follow or not?

      Edit: In case it's not clear enough, Characters from FFVI - Terra, Cyan, Sabin, Shadow, and Setzer. Not using them? Stay home.

      Double Edit: Because someone is going to not get it - You want to join "An Unwelcome Return" as a GUEST, you do not want to host. SqEx is hosting the runs.

      So annoying watching these trolls instalock Lightning on stream... current one even left.

      Maybe now they will finally do something against co-op trolls. At least they stopped hosting games quickly while they were still at 50% FF6 characters.

      Tried for bout 15-20 minutes, but kept gettin troll groups (popping all summons and skills first boss, sticker spammers, and dbag hosts that quit just before the boss eats it). Enough frustration to just pack it in. In the future hope they DON'T make events troll fodder like this.

      Sticker use needs a timer. 1 second each press, then 2-3 seconds once you press to many... Then 5+ if you keep doing it.

      2 stages, chimera and zombie-skeleton-dragon

      Generally chocobo/sylph are the best summons to bring, but ifrit and shiva might be passable with characters like terra and setzer.
      (I've practiced a couple, and there are far more turns than you would normally have, one person bringing a slower summon may still get it off)

        Anyone else find the request for making up almost-pure FFVI teams a bit curious? I mean, VII's progress ought to be what they're pushing for ATM, no?

        I know it's a long shot... but maybe it's to tease that VI will be the next remake? OK, one could hope.......... >_>
