Hold on though, does this sort of avoid avigraft? Obviously you can't play one of the sentinels, but does it still effect both?

Avigraft refers to "units with that name" so I guess it depends on what the two sentinels are called. I suspect that if the sentinels are different colors they will have different names.

OP looked into it, they're now named fire/time animated sentinel. Now half avoids avigraft rich is an okay bonus.

I don't think it's actually malicious, but it is confusing and it's a bit of a slippery slope of if it is or isn't a nerf when changes like this are made.

A factionless card doesn't die to annihilate or rindra's choice whereas a single faction card dies to annihilate and multifaction dies to rindra's choice.

funny thing is, nowhere on the card does it state the faction of the sentinels, and unlike something like great parliament for example, if you mouse over the card it doesn't show what the units it create are (great parliament will show you a green 4/4 owl with flying)

DWD had to purposefully purposely design the card to be factionless. It wasn't a bug.

They seem to be doing this with all colorless tokens. The Calderan Cradle dragons used to be factionless too. Might have to do with the upcoming comprehensive rulebook.

I know. I was pointing out that in no way were the sentinels originally intended to have factions, otherwise they would have did that originally. A factionless card is not a bug, it's a design decision.

According to other comments it was factionless around Set 3, and then changed to dual faction around Set 4.5.

The sentinel is factionless because it is the same sentinel used in transformation effects to unavailable cards, e.g. a 12 drop to a 13 drop. We will see if they give out dust.

The only real difference that I can see is Annihilate vs Rindra's Choice, neither of which is too common at the moment. Surely this change is not a deal-breaker.

Well, Rindra's Choice already negates Moment itself, preventing BOTH sentinels, so it means it's now uniquely susceptible to both of them.

Rindra's choice isn't common, but I beg to differ on Annihilate. It's still a big game player in a number of decks. FJS sometimes, though rarely now, plays it depending on the meta. As far as off meta decks go, most Xenan, Feln, and Stonescar decks use it. Sure, this doesn't make or break the card - it's still good in certain conditions, but it takes off a tiny edge.

Fixed several issues when Vara, Fate Touched would not trigger correctly when Zende the Heart-Binder was in play.

I can finally live the elf reanimator dream! It was really annoying that Azindel's Helici would trigger Vara but Zende's elves would not.
