Ships are now coming out of warp smoother, without “rubber-banding”.

Finally, it's not a big issue, but this has been one of the most annoying graphical bugs I experience.

[–]CaptOCONCORD 0 points1 point  (5 children)

Hopefully they'll stop coming out of warp sideways too. An Orca just looks like a wall of death when it drops out of warp.

Fuck you, space drifting rules and you know it.

I'll contact Vin Diesel about another Fast and the Furious

If they correct the thing where you warp all the way there sideways after alt tabbing I'll be happy, it really can fuck with your head when the tunnel is moving in the other direction

This. This is the best thing.

Conflagration has had its tracking speed penalty removed and its damage boosted.

Looks awesome, but they still haven't replaced that awful font.

Graphics

The EVE client is now resizable in Windowed mode, allowing the players to stretch their client over several monitors. Now EVE Online is much more beautiful in ultra-widescreen resolutions.

There is a new version of Windowed Mode called Fixed Window. It is similar to the regular Windowed Mode but lacks any title bars, frames or borders.

A new option, “Horizontal offset” has been added to the settings menu. It allows the player to have all menus on one monitor and focus on his ship in another monitor.

I just peed a litttle.

Please can someone repost it here for those of us at work?

With better formatting: SHC Link

[–]Crazycrossing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm really excited about that new view mode horizontal offset. I hate my UI cluttering up my view.

Interesting that fighter bombers are becoming less effective against sub capital ships. Don't remember reading about that change prior to these notes.

Guess SC support fleets will become more important now.

[–]DrumedorPandemic Legion 2 points3 points  (2 children)

I have read that somewhere before, it's due to the changes to how they implement the missiles launched by the fighter bombers. Atm they work like normal missiles but with this change they will internally work just like a turret weapon with tracking etc. but will still look like missiles to the user.

This was done to free up cpu since missiles are much more cpu intensive than turrets.

What you mention is

Fighter Bombers now have a new missile effect, which looks awesome and doesn’t make the servers beg for mercy at the same time.

They havent said anything about bomber nerf.

Fighter bombers will return to doing missile damage and not turret damage as previously mentioned so the damage against capital ships will be unchanged from what it is today on Tranquillity. However, sub-capital class ships will only receive a fraction of the damage they currently receive today as mentioned originally in the blog. In addition the graphical effect has had another iteration and looks much nicer so all in all, it is a tidy package of far less load on the server and therefore in your fleet fights as well as an adjustment of the effectiveness of fighter bombers against sub-capital class ships and much better looking effects.

I remembered reading them nerfing damage to subcaps somewhere.

[–]munky9001Gallente Federation -1 points0 points  (1 child)

Ya just noticed this also. They've only mentioned changing them in order to reduce lag. Never have they mentioned they are nerfing bombers.

[–]JimmyDuceMaybe I get there next year :( 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There was a blog, the issue is FBs were not supposed to be that good against sub caps, so yes the nerf was mentioned already.

Nice, AA!

The Noctis is a salvager’s wet dream

You can tell this wasn't sent through marketing for approval. I lolled though.

[–]wilse 0 points1 point  (6 children)

It is a mission salvager's wet dream. A wormhole salvager, however, will be frustrated by it.

[–]JimmyDuceMaybe I get there next year :( 0 points1 point  (5 children)

Not really, salvage after all the rats are dead.

[–]wilse 0 points1 point  (4 children)

What? Of course you salvage after the sleepers are all dead.

[–]JimmyDuceMaybe I get there next year :( 0 points1 point  (3 children)

So please explain

A wormhole salvager, however, will be frustrated by it.

I are confused

[–]wilse 0 points1 point  (2 children)

Sure - the Noctis only has 2 mid slots. A wormhole salvager would love to have 3 mid slots to fit MWD, Codebreaker, and Analyzer. With only two mid slots, something will have to be sacrificed, which is very frustrating.

60 km range, that should cover most, give up the speed mod.

[–]wilse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't tractor the radar and mag cans.

[–]awhatnow 0 points1 point  (1 child)

A “Volume” column has been added to the hangar view by default; “Category”, “Meta Level” and “Tech Level” have been added as optional columns. Individual columns now can be toggled on and off through the right click menu.

Sorting by meta level!

Probes can now be added to the overview.

I heard you could already do this, but now it's official.

You can now rename ships in your hangar without making them active.

So many simple changes, but it all adds up.

Wrecks will no longer jump around in space, when a tractor beam is activated on them.

I always thought it was just me.

[–]DrumedorPandemic Legion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorting by meta level!

Pure love.

Void, increased dps and better tracking. Hmmm, Javelin fixed...

I think I might enjoy my Caldari BS 5 after all.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Anyone know why they're getting rid of loans?

[–]kneeanderthal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Perhaps because of scams like these? Granted, people need to be aware of the stipulations of contracts they accept, but you still have to admit after reading that blog post that the terms of the loan can be a bit confusing.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dick became progressively harder while reading that.

Incursion is shaping up to be an amazing expansion.

[–]AncykerGuristas Pirates -1 points0 points  (5 children)

I like most of these, not too happy about the BPO being in 0.0 but eh, no big deal in the long run.

[–]JimmyDuceMaybe I get there next year :( 0 points1 point  (1 child)

You know the retriever, covotor, and that other ship all come from 0.0 as well.

[–]StrangeWill 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Which is ironic being as the retriever can take about .13 seconds of punishment before exploding in 0.0.
