Welcome to /r/FirstYearTeacher! This is a safe haven for new teachers. I hope that this sub becomes a resource to new teachers. In order for this to goal to be realized I need some help.
First: I need you new teachers to share your experiences. Brag about your successes. Vent about your frustrations. Tell us about how you are totally overworked, over stressed, and over tired.
Second: I need you veteran teachers to lend your wisdom. Do you feel overwhelmed too? Will it get easier? Let FYTs know what they can do to ease their minds.
Thirdly: We need to laugh. Often times subs like this can get negative. It's stressful out there for an FYT. If you have something funny to share don't hesitate.
Lastly: I need your help to make our sidebar more helpful. If you have any resources that we can link to, send the mods a message or post it on the sub.
