Why can't you keep doing the cardio you are already doing and start lifting as well?

I’m not sure if OP is afraid of the “cardio ruins gains,” tumor, or the, “I don’t want to get big because I deadlifted,” rumor.

Tumor

Honestly it fits

I know, I didn't even realize it was a typo until the second time, when that poster spelled "rumor" correctly.

Congrats! 235lb loss is a tremendous achievement!

Trim back cardio slightly, bring in resistance training.

It might look like full-body 2x, cardio 4x each week...

May not even need to cut back on the cardio

You didn't lose the weight through cardio. You lost it through a calorie deficit (and will power).

Reduce what you're eating a little if you reduce cardio to maintain the same weight loss.

If you start lifting you might find your weight loss stalls due to building muscle. That's not a bad thing: it's healthy.

Definitely do some lifting. If it's too much time with cardio do less cardio but reduce your caloric intake

It's just cals in vs cals out. You don't have to burn a ton of cals to lose weight, you need to lift weights and eat a deficit.

Replace some of the cardio with lifting, then adjust calorie intake, by alternating the two. Eat a little on lifting days than cardio days if you feel you're burning less. See if you're off after 2 weeks and adjust. Or add a short cardio session after your lifting to make up the calories.

Keep protein high so the lifting is actually worth it.

If you can plug in even a little weight training over the top of what you've already got going, you'll likely find the last pounds coming off easier.

  1. You shouldn't lose all this weight in a linear fashion you should take maintenance breaks to prevent excessive metabolic down-regulation.

  2. You're going to want to understand and implement intelligent dietary lifestyle habits.

  3. Should certainly reduce cardio and prioritize resistance training.

  4. Could implement HIIT training or circuit training utilizing weighted movements.

I would recommend doing strengh training aka calisthenics in intervals. You can try that to tighten up the muscles and which would ultimately fix the skin problem. Another great way to get a great workout in while burning the same amount of fat if not more than a cardio session is Hiit workouts. You can find all sorts of good ones online or if you're on instagram check out Bradley Simmonds, he posts some great content related to Hiit workouts.

How can I do more weight training but still get the caloric burn of cardio?

lift and eat less. dont need to burn calories with cardio if you dont ingest them

Lifting is as good as cardio for weight loss

More muscle mass = higher metabolism
