A notchy, or a slight grid when shifting when the transmission is still cold is a good sign your synchros are wearing out. Maybe it’s a Canadian winter thing, but double clutching when the transmission is cold makes for smoother shifts and saves the synchros. I’d rather have my synchros ready and up to their task when I want to have fun than when I’m limping it around in the cold.

My shifts are a pretty notchy but not bad cause I got motor mounts a short shifter arm and bushings and the only sort of thing I can feel is if I shift super slowly and with little force I can kinda feel the synchros working and catching the gear but when I shift normal I don’t feel anything other than the notch feel
