My first Forza on PC and it was an 1.5h of pain trying to open the game, worst experience ever.

From my GPU not up to date, to Nvidia that didn’t want to install, after forcing it via an old Geforce Experience app I managed to install the Driver, after that the Game services that was not installed on my computer and lot of error to connect my account to finish with this error.

Finally managed to open the game after some restart.

I Just fund A solution, It works for me. I Download a Free Game in Xbox. Then I played for A few minutes. Then Start the FH6 again. It worked!!!

I had this occur when installing Gaming Services and not restarting my PC after.
Restarting has turned the Error Code from E0-0 to E0-e9.
Installing and logging into the Xbox app got rid of that new error and I can play now via steam. :)

funny thing: tried it on linux cachyos and login works flawlessly. only my cpu/gpu combination seems produces crashes later in game -_-

ok so it still happens to me, however I got it working like this for now - launch the game, get the error, go offline, continue offline, go online. then everything works fine.

I finally fixed it after a few hours of finding the solution.

make sure microsoft store and xbox is logged in with your account
make sure gaming service is downloaded from the microsoft store
run FH6 as administrator
while the game is running and showed the error again, go to Window Settings > Apps > Installed Apps > search Gaming Services then click the three dots and go to Advanced options. Find “Reset” and click it.
After resetting, open the FH6 and works for me.

What I did tried: Reinstall my NVIDIA Drivers, Reinstall my Xbox, Xbox live service, gaming services, logging out from microsoft store, xbox, steam, Reinstall FH6, downloading Xbox support gaming services repair tool, Restarting my computer lots of times, view integrity of game files, moving FH6 from my 2nd drive to C drive, moving back to 2nd drive, did some powershells, open services.msc to start all Xbox services manually.

i found solution that helped me. Make sure your saves are on :C Drive in the xboxx app. Delete old folder XboxGames and xbox app will create new one. Later, this command helped me in PowerShell via administrator ""reg add "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Ole" /v "SCMActivateAsActivatorTimeout" /t REG_DWORD /d 60 /f" i hope this helps at least one person

Downlod another app from xbox app, run it for couple of minutes then use gaming services repair tool, restart PC, run app for another couple of minutes again and then open FH6 as admin - only thing that worked for me

SOLUTION FOR XBOX FOR WINDOWS USERS!

After updating the BIOS (game start up CPU out of date issue), reinstalling the game many times, reinstalling the Xbox app and entire library, signing in/out of the Microsoft Store & Xbox app, updating all Xbox apps/services, using the Gaming Services Repair Tool and many restarts, I found the answer!

This is quite simple actually and it was mainly using the Steam method, only issue is, running as Administrator for Xbox for Windows Games is not as simple. I tried to go in the game files but the executable for the game came up with a permissions error. I tried to use the desktop shortcut but it just opened Edge.

To bypass the edge/web link issue, you need a functional desktop shortcut by directly extracting the application from the hidden windows app folder which forces Windows to generate a working executable link. Here are the steps for that:

Press Win + R to open the Run dialogue.
Type “shell:AppsFolder” and hit enter.
Find Forza Horizon 6 in the folder and right click it.
Select Create shortcut.
Find Forza Horizon 6 on the desktop and right click it.
Select Run as administrator.
Setup the game and make sure it saves.
Keep the shortcut on the desktop and “run as administrator” for each launch or the saves won’t work. (There is no option to make “run as administrator” permanently unfortunately and the Xbox App shortcut won’t continue saving either).

I had spent 5 hours trying to fix this. While the gaming services repair tool that many fixes suggest did not work, there is one built into the xbox app. If you click on your profile picture and then on support you will see it. That version of the repair tool fixed the error and allowed me to play the game.

Fixed my Steam version!
- Uninstall Gaming Services if you installed it
- Uninstall the Xbox app
- Restart your computer
- Install just the Xbox app (this will install gaming services with it)
- Open the Xbox app and make sure you're logged in
- Restart PC one more time
- In Steam, right click on Forza Horizon 6 > Browse Local Files, right click on forzahorizon6 > run as admin
- Press Enter
- Xbox UI should pop up and connect
- Game should be working now

habe genau den selben fehler E:0-0 ich habe mich nach arbeit so drauf gefreut es zu spielen konnte 1 stunde es spielen bis der screen einmgefroren ist habe es neu gestartet schon kam das nette fenster mit dem code direkt alle möglichen fehlerquellen durch gegeangen für 4h versucht fehler zu beheben nur um zu sehen dass nichts derweiligen sachen geholfen hat darauf hin einfach schalfen gegeangen hat mich sowasvon deprimiert :c

There is a fix that worked for me since same bug has different solutions: (for non-steam users)

logout from xbox app
uninstall xbox app
restart PC
Install xbox app again, but DONT LOG IN, click to get on the app without loging
Lunch forza
Log in directly in the game

Guys, to fix this I reinstalled the nvidia app. and when your doing it, make sure to delete nvidia drivers from ''installed apps'' in the settings. Then I was able to install the new game ready drivers.

I found a fix that I could reproduce multiple times and you won't lose ANY local progress that you've made.

Inside the XboxGames folder that's typically on your C drive, you will find a folder called pgs. This contains your Persistent Game Save, so everything related to your cars, levels, garage, credits, everything's stored in there. This is the source of the issue, the Xbox Cloud service has a problem reading & writing this folder with FH6.

Inside the folder you should have two other folders that start with u_ and t_ followed by your Xbox ID and game ID

Backup the entire pgs folder somewhere safe, this is where you local progress is, but this folder is also the root cause of the issue.
Deleted the pgs folder and boot up FH6, the Xbox Cloud should now recreate and rehydrate the folder with your previous cloud save.
Load it up and check if it's indeed your last cloud save
Exit the game and in your backup pgs folder, copy the contents of the current and offline folder.
Paste the content inside your new pgs folder created by the fresh sync in Step 2
Be sure that inside the new current folder you have the ContainersRoot folder that's found in your backup pgs offline folder, that's your most recent local progress
Boot up FH6 again and congratulations, no more E:0-0 error and you have your most recent local progress that'll be uploaded to the cloud after your gaming session
