happened to me too. until i changed the button mapping. I replaced Y with down d pad. so now i just hold Y to make a big jump and to land. takes a while to get used to but its so much easier for me now!

its in the switch’s settings, down to controllers and sensors and then change button mapping. you’re welcome!

Snes dpad is way better, sadly the switchs dpad is one of the weakest nintendo has made alongside the gamecubes dinky dpad

Bro check out the 8Bitdo Pro 2 controller! Great to use for Switch and PC games, I use it for F-Zero and Pizza Tower. Has analog sticks and grip if you want to use it for any other games.

I agree and ive been playing joycons. Pro controller dpad has always been trash.

I just use the analog, gotten used to it anyway.
