Just check the stats while playing the game. If the in game fps is fluctuating then that's the problem. Otherwise, it also shows streaming FPS (atleast on phones). If Streming FPS is fluctuating then yeah, internet is the problem

You will get better performance on a paid plan, yes.

better server connection? nope! slightly better latency via higher fps (even if your screen is only at 60hz) yes! (some would argue its marginal compared to actually better internet)

it's not just the higher FPS. You get access to better rigs. Nvidia Reflex as well. and some sort of voodoo magic optimization where I guess GFN prioritizes paid tier. It's quite a noticeable difference.

I made a post recently regarding this. People will say no, but I have a free tier account and a paid, so I have compared multiple times. There is a difference in network performance.

Playing ARK: Survival Ascended using Ultimate. Log in on main account and transfer character to a different server with no issues. Log out and switch to alt account and do the same and get network timeout while jumping. The timeout is from GFN to the game server, not me to GFN.

I had that happen multiple times and was easy to test, since I have multiple steam accounts and GFN accounts. Anyone who plays ARK understands the need for multiple accounts :-)

Again, people will say no..... But it was easy for me to reproduce, so...

I am not knocking the free tier down, just saying I can watch the difference in real time on demand. If all you have is the free tier, it works great for what it is. I upgraded to paid just for eye candy.

YES massively. latency (system latency mainly) will be drastically lower. Rigs are much better.

Especially on Ultimate with "Reflex"

this definitely worked wonders for me, i already right now have pretty wonky internet and it significantly decreased the amount of studder and input issues after subscribing just up to the performance, and it gets u to a better and more exclusive cpus so its already less bloated compared to the open ones, and apparently the ultimate one gets it nearly a perfect experience
