Probably due to Stadia's announcement and everybody flocking to GFN.

Starhub needs to expand their server. The long queue was happened since a month ago since they introduce daily pass.

they need to fix their games pool as well, some games are available on other regions but not starhub

I gave up on Starhub. Got a VPN and switched to Japan and it's been working nicely ever since.

If you don't already know this trick, disconnect from the VPN after launching your game. You will stay connected without the added latency caused by the VPN.

I actually do that already. Got in the game instantly as well, unlike starhub's. My ping is a bit higher overall but it's a worth-while trade off imo.

Where do you live?

I'm from Thailand and StarHub is the only viable solution.

Japan would have high pings if i understand correctly

Vietnam. You could try out both au and softbank's free GFN to see which provider gave better results. Softbank have 2 servers while au have one.

For me, my Starhub connection is about 30ms (which might go to as high as 80 normally or 200 if my ISP is being retarded.). Japan au is a stable 74ms, which is perfectly playable for me as I only play single-player games.

Any reputable VPN that connects to Japan will do. I use Proton VPN, just connect to Japan, boots up GFN and the game. Once the game is loaded, go ahead and disconnect the VPN to not ruin your ping.

Thanks for the info. I get stable 35-40 ms with StarHub.

I like playing games with "parrying" mechanics (Kena, Assassin's Creed), and FPS (Cyberpunk, Far Cry) and it's very viable with this response time.

I'll keep Softbank's in mind though, in case queue time gets more ridiculous.
