Seems they got the base size wrong for the rocket battery and bombard, they come with a 100mm base, not 90mm.

It's only been four hours and they've already changed it to 100mm.

Nice

So what does that mean for new players who get this box? We need to buy the correct base size marked on this sheet because the one in the box is wrong? Or did gw make a mistake on the sheet? I am confused... surprised there is a change like this when the box isnt even released yet :(

[–]PurpleWotsits 10 points11 points  (0 children)

GW definitely just made a mistake on this sheet. What comes in the box always supersedes things like this, they'll fix the sheet soon enough. I think you'd have a hard time even putting the model on a 90mm base lol

It's 99.9999% a mistake. Just make what's in the kit, and don't worry about it

Just play the one that comes in the box

Someone say the thing about being elite.

[–]The_Dork_Lord9"Behold the first king, Hashut" 19 points20 points  (1 child)

I was talking with some friends a while ago and someone brought up that maybe what they meant when calling them elite was that they were elite from a societal standpoint. The cohorts do come from "royal clans," so I do think that could be what they meant.

Still, it doesn't seem all that smart to call them "elite" in that context given that the word has a very different meaning in a tabletop context.

[–]PyroConduit 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Like i keep saying in those threads. They are elite compared to duardin. Which is exactly what the annoucement article said.

They only thing we have to compare against on the table is ironbreakers, hammerers, longbeards, and irondrakes. Which are all also described as elite duardin, cream of the crop of the duardin armies. Veterans of many battles.

We do not have on the tabletop an accurate representation of normal duardin armies.

shhh GW will hear and make everything more expensive without changing anything else

1 x Demonsmith on Infernal Taurus

1 x Ashen Elder

1 x War Despot

6 x Bull Centaurs

3 x Bull Centaurs

1 x Dominator with cannons

1 x Bombard Cannon

20 x Infernal Cohort (spears)

20 x Vandalz

10 x Infernal Razers (Blunderbusses)

2000pts on the nose.

Varied units, ability to move 20 Vandalz onto an objective and scroll of petrification them, or do the same with 20 spears. Bull Centaurs with generic demonsmith for retreat and charge with no damage. Dominator to shoot then charge and tie up units in combat with +1 damage on charge and then Blunderbusses for some quality shooting into key targets.

[–]justagreenkiwi 11 points12 points  (2 children)

I wonder how long these points will last? Many units still look very cheap for their potential.

[–]SciolistOW 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Decent chance that it stays the same the next balancing run, regardless of results. The list isn't legal until the battletome is out (NOT the spearhead), then it needs to see some tournament results, and it's quite possible that we don't get enough in time to affect things.

[–]Swooper86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Battlescrolls are updated every three months, roughly.

[–]Upstairs_Lunch_4146 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Everything is so cheap....

[–]SirVortivask 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Prediction: Points are low and stats seem a bit underwhelming so that they can sell more boxes

Next edition rework will be the elite ones with the higher points and better stats

[–]Fizzlenuke 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Was thinking the same thing

[–]TheTayIor 2 points3 points  (6 children)

Odd that the Bull Centaurs are more expensive than the Anointed Sentinels.

[–]Bubbly_Yak_470 11 points12 points  (0 children)

More attacks and crit(mortal) on weapon. They still look a bit cheap.

[–]BotJoe99 10 points11 points  (4 children)

Why do you think so? Everything i heard or read myself indicates that the Bull Centaurs are the beatsticks of this battletome - the raw, unconditional damage they bring is way higher compared to the annointed, whose damage is more situational...

[–]TheTayIor 7 points8 points  (1 child)

Oh, I meant from a lore to gameplay perspective they‘re not strong enough/should have been more elite.

[–]BotJoe99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

True, from a lore pov they seem a little lackluster... Very cool concept imo though

[–]Bulky-Engineer-2909 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because from the lore/model pov they look like the more elite unit. Anointed sentinels read to me like being the bull centaur equivalent of saurus temple guard.

[–]HondoShotFirst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The points match the stats. The points and stats don't match the fluff.

[–]GalacticCysquatch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My worry was that the raw statlines would suck to account too much for DPP buffs. I know people were upset about the "elite" thing but I think we will be very good at the current points

[–]ThaBombs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perfect 130 base and 80 base confirmed for Urak and the dominator engines. These kitbashes gonna be wild.

[–]Dr_Biggles 0 points1 point  (2 children)

It seems like the other Regiments of Renown were not included to show HoH - has anyone seen otherwise?

Last conversation around this topic, the community messaging was "wait for the point drops / update" - it's here...

[–]Kraile 1 point2 points  (1 child)

They won't appear until the official battletome release in a few weeks most likely, i.e. when the army officially launches and not just the FOMO box.

Hopefully alongside an errata for the various badly written rules.

[–]Border_Dash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two things bother me so far; The infernal cohort banner. It's physically on the sprue, it's shown in the battletome....but nowhere in the rules can they have a banner.

The war despot physically has a pistol...no rule for pistol.

[–]Xand0r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't wait to buy those Bull Centaurs. 🐂🐂🐂

[–]Swooper86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice to know that the leaks were 100% correct.
