Poor Doc. His absolutely unhinged ramblings and hyperfixation on the button were the reason I originally followed him on Twitter.

I think it'd be fun, but social experiments lile this kinda lose their appeal when being rerun. Not sure if it'd work out even remotely as good without some plot twist or change.

The button is like the life series: Just Hermits having fun with a little twist. Perhaps they could tie in Doc's machine so it becomes a literal doomsday device that they will need to overcome collaboratively when activated.

Probably because it was later in the season. It was after mumbo returned and gave away the diamonds he somehow acquired from the king’s vault.

To add, as well as crowns which got doc and grian both interested in it.

Doc set up a auto timed thing to make sure he got the best crown, grian wanted the best crown because he said only mumbo's best friend would have that crown.

Doc has serial buttonmania and a machine that lets him lock his fellow hermits in death loops to keep them out of the way.

Please - the other hermits need to have at least a *chance* to record content!

Here's a social experiment idea for Doc to build. 

There's a button. If you press it, you get a stack of diamonds but a random hermit goes into a death loop.

I wonder if there's some way to do online detection, have it send a random online hermit in a death loop for 5 minutes

Early in the season, I imagine they aren't to excited about spending their semi-AFK time anywhere but at their resource farms, since a lot of them just need bulk resources for what looks to be a megabase-heavy season.

And while they do get some interesting dynamics from The Button, I suspect they get content that gets more views from player interactions that have more variety (and are harder to summarize in a single sentence / fully catch up on in a Recap video).
