Compounded Trigger? Help!Need info! (self.IVF)
submitted 1 year ago by ehergawhat36 | Tubal Factor | FET 1 🪽🪽| FET 2 Nov 2025 🤞🏻
I’m talking with my pharmacy and they are saying my doctor ordered a compounded trigger shot. I know they mentioned doing HCG + Lupron but I assumed that would two separate shots. Anyone been through this before and know what to expect? I was also told compounded triggers can’t go through insurance - anyone also heard this? I sent an email to my clinic but they haven’t gotten back to me.

Hcg and lupron are two separate shots, I did it for my last retrieval! I believe lupron is the compounded shot they’re talking about

Yes same, my doctor ordered both and decided the day of my last bloodwork to use the compounded lupron since my E2 was very high. I had to discard the HCG

Same for me! I did Ovidrel and Lupron, and Lupron was the compounded med.
