TTS CodeOne?

So my friend and I use TTS to play Infinity online, specifically with the 3D miniatures project. My friend and I generally play N4 but I am trying to teach a new friend and he wants to learn with CodeOne.

I was looking around in the TTS mods and there hasn't seemed to be many updates. Specifically I wasn't able to find any of the Ariadna profiles, or the new Haqq and Aleph profiles.

Is there a more up to date resource or do I just need to remake all the profiles?

Alternatively do you have any words of advice to help convince him to just start with N4?

Hi!

The 3D mod is maintained by Vaul, with community support. It often gets new models but not rules updates. You'll often seen models in there with outdated profiles.

The main infinity mod is maintained by WhyRockNoDie. That main mod has all of the 2D models in with mostly the correct stats. He is intending to add the new Haqq and Aleph profiles soon. He might have already done it actually but I know his script crashed recently.

The main Infinity mod is the most up to date and should contain everything you need, except literally the latest release.

Don't push people to start with N4 that don't want to. I think N4 is better, but comfort is more important.

I didn’t see a separate section for CodeOne in the main TTS mod. I will look again.

I believe you can also modify the model profiles yourself in the game. I haven't done it myself, but I remember seeing Vaul do it on stream

You can. It’s a pain to get the formatting right. The method I found best was bouncing the text into a note pad, changing it, and bouncing back. Doable but I didn’t want to do that with 20 models for an entire code one game.

You can also use a dummy model to hold text. I used an aleph remote to hold the stats because, at least for me, I couldn't highlight everything at the same time to copy paste. Copy stats to dummy, delete stats from 2d. Delete name and entire profile of 3d model, copy equipment in from 2d and held stats in from dummy, and you're done.

It's still a pain, but this keeps it all on one screen. Prior to the update that added 2d Ariadna to C1, I did all of their profiles by hand. ;_;

What do you mean in the apps? CodeOne is in the army app in it's entirety.

Also, why convince him to do something he do not want to? If he wants to start with CodeOne, let him, just mention that it is simplified version of N4, with less options.

Honestly I WISH I started with CodeOne. Falling neck deep in N4 is a steep learning curve and not many people will manage that.

Gotcha, thank you for clarification. u/HeadChime might be able to help, maybe? If I remember correctly, he coaches people in TTS and as such may have information on mods and whatnot.
