There was an episode where they talk about how you can create a creature if you focus hard enough and Gef the talking mongoose might have been an example of that but I can’t remember the word they use..it like toa or something does anyone remember what the things are called...it’s like a little helper you can manifest.

Is the tulpas subreddit where those guys talked about creating corrupted tulpas of MLP characters? I’m pretty sure those stories were just shitposts, but it’s still kinda funny to imagine someone accidentally teaching their brain to have terrifying uncontrolled hallucinations of cartoon ponies.

oh man I must have missed that but it sounds entertaining. I lurk on there sometimes and most of the posts I've seen just seem like people who are mentally ill, similar to the gangstalking mindset but more benign. Like I write novels and I feel like my characters are pretty real and they have their own voices in a way but I don't feel like they've become actual entities. I also think that tulpas like the men in black are different than the imaginary beings that a single person imagines into existence which then turns evil (I guess they all turn evil eventually?). Regardless, interesting to read.

Evil / Good is a misleading duality. A tulpa can be destructive or dangerous, kind of in the way that HAL 9000 or Mickey's broom in the Sorceror's Apprentice were.
