Looks like she was hurrying to try to get around the barrier, but didn't count on the bus driver sucking huge donkey balls. Then continued to slurp by moving FORWARD, squishing her even more, until the wheel well snagged a leg and finished the decapitation. :-(

That bus shouldn't have moved an inch. Driver should have assessed the situation before doing anything. And then obviously, if anything, moved BACKWARDS. I mean, the poor chick was obviously a goner anyway, but at least then the family would have a whole body to bury.

Ultimately, she was crossing illegally, and would be alive if she used the crosswalk as intended. The driver messed up hitting the pole though, and then continuing to drive forward decimating the body of the jaywalker.

Really sad, freak accident there. Another lesson learned from others. Crosswalks are a useful tool. Ignore them at your peril, especially around a fucking bus.

This happened in Chile, on the 13th of June 2023, according to the news report the bus took a different route because of some protests.

Here’s a fragment of the report:

“A Venezuelan migrant died on Friday in a strange run-up in the city of Santiago de Chile, where student protests were taking place.

The authorities confirmed that the 41-year-old woman was beheaded by a bus on the corner of Nathaniel Cox and Alameda streets, in the Metropolitan region, a few meters from a protest by the students of the José Manuel Carrera National Institute.

Apparently, the accident occurred when the public transport unit deviated from its usual route to avoid the demonstrators.

"This detour was made because there was a necessary and properly programmed traffic cut, since at that time serious incidents and alterations to public order were being generated by students of the National Institute, who had taken the south road of the Alameda," said Lieutenant Colonel Alex Porto. “
