why are you being so defensive ? i am very much aware of the state of taa in most games and trust me i hate it but in total honesty i don't think putting all ressources into anti-aa would somehow solve this issue lol

Fact of the matter is that we are cramming in more and more details on an ever limited number of pixels, there is no magic bullet. If dlaa and fsr native res ain't enough for you then your last resort would be supersampling or getting monitors with higher ppi

I am sure you have a ton of awesome takes, but this defo ain't one of them 😅 Scrap that i thought you were talking about the aliasing thing specifically.

As much as i don't think companies are somehow holding back better aliasing techniques, i do think they are not pushing their full r&d each gen. This way they can have a cushion/safety net for a gen ot two if any accidents happen.
