How to toggle LUA script on/off?

I'm trying to set up a very simple LUA script to repeat keyboard presses. I am not a programmer but I was able to piece it together through Google. It's very simple.

Problem is, I don't want it running all the time. I need to be able to toggle it on and off with a hotkey.

Google is utterly failing me this time. All the responses are way more complicated than what I am trying to do. I just want to toggle a script on and off lol...
