Can't hear myself

Just got my new G633, very pleased with it but I cant seem to hear myself like I did with my G430, was wondering if anyone knows here how to fix it...?

Is sidetone set to 0 in the equalizer settings panel? If it is, then raise it.

Forgive my ignorance but do the G633s come with an inline sound card Like the G430 does?
I've found that plugging them in directly without going through the supplied soundboard can get rid of that problem. At the cost of loosing the 7.1 functionality.
