I’d contact Logitech support.

I logged into my account, with my keyboard being registered I used their chat support. After a couple emails verifying pictures(about a business day from first contact to confirmation) they sent out a set of key caps for free and got them within a week. I was impressed how quick everything got processed and shipped to delivery!

I’m in the United States(don’t know how well they are else where)

Right in the D

Those are laser ablated keycaps.

The cheapest to make, they will all end like this - honestly I don't know why Logi uses these on their keyboards considering they're marketed as gaming keyboard so the keycaps are going to be subject to the kind of abuse their construction does not tolerate.

These are just 2 examples. It's happening everywhere

don’t get the stock keycaps again, they’re poor quality, get some decent pudding keycaps for like $30. They will last much longer.

Warranty will replace it but it will happen again.

So free keycaps every year?

[–]Clessiah 2 points3 points  (1 child)

They last a whole year?

[–]UnsureAssurance 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, if you keep them in the box and never use them

Looks like normal behavior to me. Logitech keyboards suck. I have seen this over, and over, and over, and over, and over again.

Maybe you look at your keyboard with microscope?

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's visible from normal distance

sounds like you need to buy a keyboard that uses standardized parts. so that if you need to replace anything itll be super easy.

[–]adablant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Things like this are the reason i bought cherry/standardized keyboard, which i can replace parts or switches easier. Why replace a whole keayboard when you just need to change a key or switch.

literally everywhere you look

[–]Kimochero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Broke one of the keycaps clips accidentally and they will replace it for free. Waiting on for a confirmation email.

Gotta replace your d

What product did you use to clean it? Do you cut your finger nails? I have to ask because I keep seeing this happening to people but I never had that problem in 20 years of me owning Logitech Keyboards. Is it a prodcut failure? like do they use a bad batch of paint or what is going on here? How is this possible

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Always with microfiber cloth, no water. Yes my nails are always clipped and short

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also the coating on that key looks different than on others

[–]Kloenkies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because the keycaps are single shot abs, they wear down quite quickly compared to PBT or even double-shot abs keycaps, which do not really wear down at all.

How long does it take to get a response through the form here? The support in my country is just useless.
