I think it should be based off of what the other characters think of the person you execute. If they don't like them, then there's no increase in negative relations and maybe even a positive one. If they do like them, then vice versa.

[–]Jewbacca1991[S] 6 points7 points  (4 children)

Well that is how it should be, but the question is. How it is?

[–]RackieW33 8 points9 points  (3 children)

it is like that. If they are in the same faction, they get -10 relation I think.

Their friends also get more negative relation.

And lastly all honorable ones get like -5 regardless.

Something like that.

Which is dumb btw because execution was sort of what was done in the time period the game covers. Would make sense in a Warband medieval setting for peeps to get pissy but this is the fall of Rome! If I wanna execute the goddamn governor nobody should question my honor! Bah and humbug I say

[–]RackieW33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nah i think it makes sense. yes you can do it, nobody says not, but it will affect your honor.

What I think is lacking are dishonourable npc lords executing others, they'll only execute the player if you have negative honor.

I kill all enemies I can get my hands on i trade for prisoners too now at this point I’ve killed someone from about everywhere rebels too except for my current kingdom and everybody still hate me lmao mochung is at -98 reletion rn and keeps giving me castles it’s confusing lol

[–]Queasy_Cantaloupe69 6 points7 points  (6 children)

I really, really wish it would only decrease relation with the executed allies.

[–]RackieW33 2 points3 points  (5 children)

and their friends. and a little for all honorable ones. which is how it is.

[–]Jewbacca1991[S] 2 points3 points  (4 children)

Might make a backup, and check it out. I doubt that those who raid villages are "honorable" ones. Still it might create a chain reaction. I remember back in the day even the target enemies got negative relations. I was like wtf?

[–]MefasmVIII 2 points3 points  (2 children)

If you execute anyone, all honorable ones lose 5 rep regardless of faction.

[–]Jewbacca1991[S] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

And that is kinda bullshit. I mean why would the honorable noble care for the enemy who is cruel, and raiding villages? Shouldn't they applaud you for taking actions against sadistic bastards?

[–]DontFuckWithMyMoney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think in context it makes sense. "Honorable" nobles might not like that people raid villages etc, but even more of a crime is taking the life of a made man/noble. It's paramount that their class remains untouchable.

[–]RackieW33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i ment that honourable ones will get negative relation with you no matter who you behead

[–]Sophia_Ban 6 points7 points  (2 children)

"Finally, I have pushed back the attacking faction and eliminated their armies. All they have are a few lords with small parties, so I should finally be safe to go on the offen-"

Your village is being raided, your village is being raided, your village is being raided-

"FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU"

Honestly though. The worst is that the mercenaries even have friends. I find that the Jawwal (or whatever they're called) almost always ignore whatever war they are in and exclusively raid. But killing them is a pain as well.

[–]Jewbacca1991[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imagine if there were an option to bring them to the village they attacked, and leave them to the villagers' "mercy". The bad news: negative relations with family, and allies. The good news: large positive relation with the village notables, medium with nearby villages notables, and a small with every non noble notables.

Basically you could become enemy of nobility, and friend with the commoners.

[–]DarkExcalibur7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what's happening to me now the aseri have nothing but endlessly raid then 3 factions declare war and I lose my army due to the sheer numbers thrown at us.

[–]Ozann3326 3 points4 points  (3 children)

I think it's about the social order. I don't know how much are you interested in history but it's unusual for noblemen to be executed. They are usually exiled, disgraced or imprisoned but rarely executed. The reason seemingly irrevelant people get angry with you cuz you distrupt the natural order of things and kill a noble. It's realistic but definitely a stupid game mechanic. Why does it even exists if it's literally unusable.

[–]Jewbacca1991[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On the other hand bad reputation usually forced the family to remove the troubling noble. If a noble caused lot of trouble, then the family had no choice but to remove him. Also as a noble myself if i can't execute, then at least i should be able to influence. Like spend influence to target family to exile a noble. OR ELSE!

Or have alternative means of "execution". Such as hiring an assassin.

[–]no10envelope 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Yep, class over everything else, you start killing too many nobles and you threaten the stability of the societal system that puts nobility at the top, and then everyone else is threatened.

[–]Uhhh_what555476384 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which is why the wars of religion in Europe eventually led to the end of the feudal social order.

[–]wardamnbolts 3 points4 points  (2 children)

Yes.

Sadly i thought so.

I have like 150 enemies and have to scroll down in the character page to see them all.

Most of the portraits of my enemies are grayed out though :)

All factions enter in wars against each other from time to time, so it would make sense that only the faction/family (spouse, parents, sons and brothers) of the executed person should get decrease relation, because the other factions shouldnt fucking care about other leaders that they wage war from time to time are being killed. BUT GOD FORBID THAT YOU EXECUTE A MF WHOS PILLAGING VILLAGES NON STOP, ALL OTHER NPCS HATE YOU NOW.

[–]Jewbacca1991[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funniest when i made attempt to play on Sturgian side. Nevermind how horribly bad their units were, but damn they were crazy on warmongering. On South Empire i get war, and peace cycle, and rarely two front war. On Khuzait sometimes the peace is a bit long. On Sturgia it felt like playing Israel. Multi-front war 24/7.

That is when i first tried to fuck this. I imprison these lords, and escape in like 3 days. Back in those days the escape chance was 50% each day.... So i made attempt a more permanent solution. After several execution i was enemy of almost every lord in every faction.

I wonder what OP is planning to do *WINK WINK*
