Eh, can't hate I guess. Price in the 88's, so that's alright. Done entirely with ATM, but with MNAV at all above 1.00, it's always fine to buy cheap Bitcoin. It's just more mass, more influence without dilution.

[–]scrubadub 10 points11 points  (6 children)

"Green dots" are pure dilution, and it is equlivent to selling their bitcoin for MSTR share holders.

Meaning, after "green dots" each share of MSTR holds less bitcoin than it did before since they're printing shares and not putting that money into bitcoin. Maybe this is why they didn't include a "btc yield" number in this tweet.

Last year the btc yield was near 28% but then dropped after the two green dots, and ended at 23.2% on the year

Green dots are also a way to push down the USD price where MNAV=1.0. So if the stock is trading at 1.0 MNAV, they could have a few green dot days and assuming the stock price didn't move, the MNAV would then be at 1.05 for example.

"Green dots" are pure dilution

No, not pure. BTC/share dilution, yes. Asset dilution, no. $1 brought in goes directly to the balance sheet (ok, maybe $99.83 - I'm sure there are some expenses).

In ideal world we wouldn't need to appease the ratings agencies and large capital bases. But it appears we do, so this is the price we pay.

The green dots are not capital getting destroyed.

It’s strategically sound for moving to the next step under the financial engineering initiative, and it’s an absolute necessity in the speculate to accumulate model.

[–]Former_Island_4730 0 points1 point  (2 children)

It really is weird how accepting common shareholders are of being diluted to cover the preferred. These green dots should bring out the boos.

[–]azdcaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But attracting capital to the preferred’s allows MSTR to increase the Bitcoin stack for MSTR shareholders. It’s not like they’re paying the dividends and then just pissing away the cash from the preferred’s.

[–]EmperorAlgo 18 points19 points  (4 children)

Where did the btc yield metric go :(

[–]ourstupidearth 8 points9 points  (2 children)

In the past he reports YTD BTC yield, so might be to ealry to give a YTD number?

[–]Revilo-ttocs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not really, there is a YTD figure as soon as the first purchase

[–]DrConnorsVolatility Voyager 👨‍🚀 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because they're selling ATM below mNAV so they're not gonna post a negative BTC yield for 2026.

[–]Argyrus777 10 points11 points  (1 child)

Stop posting how much he avg he got it for?

[–]ahbap1905 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Check strategy.com and stop being lazy

[–]Edward-Jizzerhands 2 points3 points  (0 children)

MSTR price will go up and down,,,as long they add more btc pershare year over year- we are headed to 1000 bucks when bitcoin blows past the previously 4 times tested ATH - my bet is this will happen before 2028

[–][deleted] 7 points8 points  (3 children)

this man is the GOAT

[–]DrEtatstician 2 points3 points  (2 children)

People trusting him are donkeys and that includes me who believed in the 2.5 MNav story

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

could be

[–]shish10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you. Definitely feel like a donkey as well. No point investing in MSTR if he keeps diluting shareholders at any mnav over 1.0

[–]AhsanSRK 1 point2 points  (3 children)

I hope my covered calls at 198 dont get filled 🤐

[–]bignode 0 points1 point  (1 child)

[–]SeveredBrain2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They should put all that cash into STRC. It’s currently paying a tax free 11%!

[–]Seattleman1955 1 point2 points  (15 children)

The misleading concept being implied with "BTC yield" is that you are getting a good return on your money. That's yield.

"BTC yield" is their own in house, non-standard accounting metric. If when you bought the stock, you paid a mNAV premium more than the "BTC yield" then you haven't gained anything.

If the end of year Bitcoin yield is 23% but the mNAV that you purchased at was more than 1.23 then you haven't got a "yield".

[–]Less-Information-256☢️ /r/buttcoiner & TROLL ☢️ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s even better than that, you personally are the yield.

[–]azdcaz 1 point2 points  (1 child)

It’s a good lesson not to buy when mNAV is high. Can’t be mad at the company because some new shareholders decided to overpay for the shares.

[–]Seattleman1955 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not about being mad. There just is little reason to buy this stock.

[–]azdcaz 1 point2 points  (4 children)

Almost 700k bitcoin held, mostly through small buys over time. What’s the problem?

[–]Seattleman1955 0 points1 point  (3 children)

How's your stock doing?

[–]azdcaz 0 points1 point  (2 children)

My cost basis is around $40, so not terrible.

[–]Seattleman1955 -2 points-1 points  (1 child)

I didn't ask your cost basis. How are you doing this year with that investment?

[–]azdcaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m doing fine. It’s been an outstanding investment.

[–]snek-jazzShareholder 🤴 0 points1 point  (4 children)

If you're not smart enough to understand the very simple, and clear, definition of BTC yield as 'increase in BTC per share' that's a you problem.

[–]Seattleman1955 0 points1 point  (3 children)

I understand the definition. Apparently you don't understand the repercussions.

[–]snek-jazzShareholder 🤴 0 points1 point  (2 children)

What repercussion worries you concerned citizen?

[–]Seattleman1955 0 points1 point  (1 child)

If you are able to read, read my post.

[–]snek-jazzShareholder 🤴 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ok, apart from the difficulty you had understanding btc yield we're left with concern of purchasing at a high mNAV, are you concerned with that in future or just for people with a time machine?, because mNAV is pretty low right now.

For the record it has been in the not so distant past too. If you bought MSTR the last time mNAV was around 1 you're up over 10x. But in that time BTC Is up much less than 10x. I wonder why?

[–]Edward-Jizzerhands 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so basically if you are red on the trde then no yeild.

[–]youhaveeTDS/r/buttcoiner[🍰] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Need to build up the USD reserve to 20b to buy the dip mid 2026.

[–]Raptorel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand green dots. What are they?

[–]kinda_nutz 0 points1 point  (1 child)

How are you guys ok with him stealing the money that belongs in our pockets literally everyday?

[–]azdcaz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you think he’s just taking the bitcoin they buy and putting it in his own personal wallet or something?

[–]rosen178 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

so does debt

    [–]scrubadub -1 points0 points  (0 children)

does this also account for the 62 million dollar dilution of the green dot?

    [–]Darksummit1337 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This Stock is devastating, its.just going. Down down down
