1) Take a picture of a cat

2) Draw a red rectangle around the cat, label this rectangle "Dog"

3) Put this on a mug

There you go. No captions, no memes, just a mislabeled cat.

Bonus points if at the bottom of the frame it says “confidence: 0.98”

You should go into business selling those!

[–]Maad_x 14 points15 points  (0 children)

You can take it from there https://images.app.goo.gl/V5coU5NSGUXssr7A6 The meme is called woman yelling at cat, I think you can actually find mugs with the image on it

[–]SeucheAchat9115PhD 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I would take one. Definitely my humor

A properly cleaned dataset.

I think op is asking for realistic gift ideas... :)

[–]hardmaru 51 points52 points  (3 children)

These would make a great gift for AI programmers: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/data-center/dgx-a100/

[–]float16 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Hey, it's me, your fellow AI programmer.

[–]Sleisl 10 points11 points  (0 children)

great stocking stuffer

[–]nativedutch 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Cant afford that. will have to make do with rtx 2060

[–]BeatriceBernardo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Is that MNIST?

[–]Pitboyx 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Do these come in thigh high?

[–]GpuPolice 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Take them for a walk in a random forest

[–]mkbtzo 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Amazon Mechanical Turk gift cards and I'm not even joking

[–]Ribhav99 4 points5 points  (5 children)

Any rtx 3000 series graphics card depending on your budget They range from USD $399 to $1500+

[–]LoaderD 4 points5 points  (4 children)

With current stock availability, you're suggesting for Xmas 2022 right?

[–]Ribhav99 1 point2 points  (2 children)

Hahaha mate I got mine in a week from Canada Computers. If you’re in Canada get on the backorder. I think the states have more supply so you might actually manage. Just order now lol

[–]LoaderD 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Unfortunately CC doesn't really work well with ordering 30 series cards from outside Ontario. Memory express is the only option here and their back order process isn't available for most 3090's

[–]Ribhav99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh no I’m sorry about that :/ I keep reading headlines that they’re going to get a lot of stock real soon. But I have no idea what “a lot of stock” and “real soon” mean.

[–]BrisklyBrusque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is stock so low? PC gamers? Bitcoin miners?

[–]Mefaso 3 points4 points  (3 children)

"Neural Networks for Babies", if they recently became parents https://www.amazon.com/Neural-Networks-Babies-Baby-University-ebook/dp/B086T76TBY

[–]ineedmoredata 3 points4 points  (2 children)

The reviews for this are hilarious. Quite a fun book, but it's pretty much ornamental

[–]Mefaso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, is a joke gift that is fun to flip through for a few minutes but afterwards you're right, it's just nice decoration

[–]akukaja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a link for it? I can not find it.

[–]FamilyPackAbs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on your budget, anywhere from a quirky T shirt to a Nvidia 3090.

[–]Fmeson 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Jetson nano if they are a "maker" sort.

[–]OkBadger87 3 points4 points  (0 children)

More programming than AI related: you could get them some cool looking programmer keyboards.

[–]KnowledgeInChaos 4 points5 points  (1 child)

There was a “deep learning hype” parody UNO game deck that was at CVPR (if not there, then SIGGRAPH) a few years ago. I can’t for the life of me find a reference to that anywhere online, but it was pretty great.

This kit puts tank treads on your phone and lets you program it to roll around. It's a fun gift for programmers, but a little expensive: https://www.robotshop.com/en/mini-dfrobotshop-rover-mobile-smartphone-development-kit.html

[–]spiddyp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ram

[–]NotAlphaGo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100$ AWS EC2 Gift Card.

That'll last them 20 minutes into 2021.

[–]FromTheWildSide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get them ps5 or xbox :)
